Today we’d like to introduce you to Symone Weemes.

Symone, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Symone and my story begins in Fort Wayne, Indiana, (my hometown). I’m a mother of two and mu journey began in college while studying graphic design. I studied Art but discovered later in college that my calling was in the haircare industry. While doing my best friend’s hair in our dorm room, I noticed that she suffered from alopecia, which was hereditary. I told her that I would create an herbal product that was safe to use every day. Two years later, in 2019 is when I launched my product line which was created in my kitchen at home. in 2021 this same product line is what brought me to Atlanta to expand outside of the northern region. I now work from home while raising my two children who keep me motivated and inspired daily.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely been bumpy along the way. My first year, I quit after four months due to financial struggles along with working full-time with a two-year-old.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Gem Matter?
My business was founded in Jan of 2019. I created my first product “Gem Matter Restorative Oil for my best friend in college who suffered from Alopecia. Four months later I created the “Gem Matter Beard Growth Oil” and then finally “Gem Matter Lash & Brow Growth Serum Gem Matter helps repair damaged hair follicles. It helps many types of hair loss conditions especially Alopecia, male pattern baldness, Psoriasis, hair loss after Cancer Treatment and much more.

What sets my products apart is that they are all-natural and herbal. They don’t contain any harmful or toxic chemicals and they’re safe for the whole family.

I am most proud of my products being the #1 top seller two years in a row in my hometown’s Beauty Supply Store for 2020 and 2021. We are also located in the largest beauty supply store on the west coast “Lux Beauty Supply” in Las Vegas, NV. You can find Gem Matter in all three locations in Vegas. We can also be found on walmart.com. We are newly located in “Kutz by Tim” Barbershop located in Hiram, GA and will soon be expanding across Georgia. What makes you happy?
What makes me happy are the results and confidence my customers exude after experiencing hair growth in problem areas they have been struggling to cover up or hide. Many customers have health conditions including cancer treatment, alopecia, hair loss from medication and more. Seeing them in a new light with confidence they haven’t experienced in years is what makes this all worth it.
