The inaugural event, aptly named Renewed, welcomed women from domestic violence shelters and homeless communities, breaking down barriers and fostering a judgment-free zone where backgrounds and accolades held no sway.

One of the most significant challenges has been the absence of 501c3 status, which has limited her ability to secure funding and support from individuals and organizations. Without the allure of tax deductions, she has encountered a stark reality: many potential donors are reluctant to contribute if they cannot write off their contributions at the end of the year. This revelation has been disheartening, highlighting a prevailing mindset where compassion and empathy are contingent upon financial incentives.
Despite these obstacles, Coach Kemi remains steadfast in her mission to empower women and foster a community of support and healing. She understands that true generosity extends beyond monetary transactions, embodying the spirit of giving in its purest form.
