Community Highlights: Meet TheAriel Pryor of The AP Experience

Today we’d like to introduce you to TheAriel Pryor.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Ariel also known as TheArielPryor. I am a professional dancer, choreographer, creative director, hairstylist, salon owner and real estate investor! I’ve been dancing since I was ten years old and at the age of 14, I started professionally training and taking on the role of a choreographer. And at 15, I starred as a main dancer in DaBaby’s “BOP” video that took place at paramount studios in Los Angeles! Dance is my first passion and I always credit it for building the character and perseverance that I exhibit into the skills I take on today. I started doing hair at the age of 14 as well, I went through a lot of trial and error however I stayed consistent and at 16 I made my first $100,000 and at 17, I touched $200,000 and that made me know everything was worth it! I love doing hair because it gives me the leverage and investment money to allow me to invest into real estate as I am currently under contract for a 3-story multi-unit building on the south side of Chicago. It also has allowed to me own a 1000sq feet salon that I will be having a grand opening for just days before my 19th birthday! I am kind of the definition of what hard work , dedication and perseverance is.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into everything I do through all circumstances, this past year alone I’ve lost two of the most important people in my life. My dance coach Verndell Smith and my twin brother Nazier Pryor it hurt me to the core because they were the people who I was always excited to make proud and now I have to do it without them. So now every day I work towards continuing their legacy while building mines. I spend a lot of time and energy making sure I am making the best decisions possible especially while making big transactions so young dealing with people twice my age who has been in the game before I was born lol I always have to make sure I do my own leg work so people won’t lead me into the direction that they want me to go in or what benefits them more I’m a business woman I have to hold my own all the time being young in these industries so it takes a lot of brain power but I do it!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The AP Experience?
My brand is called TheAP Experience. I go by this name because it’s able to fill many categories considering I have many different skills to offer. It stands for “TheAriel Pryor Experience” I take pride in making sure my client’s time with me is something to remember! What sets me apart from others is that I’m a people person and I love laughing and joking! I have a broad sense of humor that can switch off in an instant depending on what type of conversations we are having. I am proud that I am able to connect with women firsthand throughout conducting business, knowing I inspire others to chase their dreams just warms my heart. I spend a lot of time giving my clients life and business advice, financial tips, words of encouragement or we would just use our time to laugh, joke, and make TikTok videos while I ensure that I have them leaving my establishment looking very pretty, hair slayed and in a good mood!

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is practicing for local dance competitions on silent threat dance team all year every year from age 10-15. It was so fun! I even had my brother and his whole friend group join and we competed in a few competitions together which was so hilarious cause who knew he could even dance haha.
