Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Jones.
Hi Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I come from a strong line of women, and as a mother of four girls myself, resilience, creativity, and determination have always been in my DNA. In 2022, like many others, I was impacted by the pandemic and laid off from a great-paying job. Thankfully, I was able to return part-time to a liquor distribution company where I had worked for nearly a decade. That time reignited a passion I’ve always had—mixology and the spirits industry.
Rather than letting that layoff define me, I took it as a sign to bet on myself. I had always dreamed of owning something of my own, and when I came across an ad for the Atlanta Prosecco Van, I saw an opportunity to bring that dream to life. I sat down with my mother and sisters, and with our mom’s belief in us and her investment, we purchased the business on March 1st, 2024.
Since then, it’s been a whirlwind. We’ve had the honor of serving at events all over Atlanta and were featured in the August 2024 issue of Modern Luxury Atlantan and the January 2025 issue of Modern Luxury Weddings. To reflect our growth and the diverse beverage offerings we now provide, we rebranded this year as ATL Sip Society, expanding beyond just Prosecco to a full mobile bar experience.
Alongside running ATL Sip Society, I’ve continued working as General Manager at The Upper Room at Ponce City Market and hosting cocktail classes and curated events. It’s been a journey filled with challenges, joy, and purpose and I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has been anything but smooth. Entrepreneurship looks glamorous from the outside, but the reality is often filled with uncertainty, sacrifice, and a whole lot of grit. After being laid off, I found myself pivoting into a completely new chapter of my life with no roadmap just passion and faith. Starting a business with limited capital, juggling multiple jobs to stay afloat, and still trying to show up fully as a mother of four and a partner has stretched me in ways I never imagined.
There have been plenty of sleepless nights and tearful moments where I questioned if I was doing the right thing. The pressure to succeed while trying to create space for my daughters, tend to my relationship, and still carve out time for my own growth has been one of the greatest challenges. And truthfully, I’m still learning how to balance it all. I haven’t mastered it yet, but I’ve come to accept that growth comes in waves and I’m proud of the woman I’m becoming in the process.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Atl Sip Society?
At ATL Sip Society, we believe that no matter what’s in your glass from coffee, cocktails, wine, mocktails, or even cold brew there’s always a reason to gather and celebrate. We’re more than just a mobile bar service; we’re a community-driven experience designed to bring people together through exceptional beverage service and meaningful connection.
What truly sets us apart is our one-of-a-kind tap truck a custom build my sister Aires and I created from a golf cart. It’s a showstopper on wheels and something you won’t find anywhere else in Atlanta. As Black women, sisters, and business owners, we take immense pride in building something innovative and personal, rooted in family and fueled by creativity.
We specialize in bartending services for a variety of events from weddings and corporate gatherings to intimate cocktail classes and golf course celebrations. Our all-inclusive approach means we cater to every kind of guest and every kind of sip. Whether you’re hosting a luxurious wedding or a laid-back backyard soirée, ATL Sip Society brings elegance, fun, and a touch of flair that leaves a lasting impression.
We want readers to know that our brand stands for community, authenticity, and joy. We’re proud to be a family-owned business changing the narrative and raising the bar literally and figuratively for mobile bar services in Atlanta.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
As much as I’d love to credit luck, I truly believe that consistency and timing play a bigger role in both life and business. There have been plenty of moments when things didn’t work out the way I hoped or expected but I’ve learned that just because something isn’t happening right now doesn’t mean it’s not coming. When you stay committed to your vision, keep showing up, and put in the work, the right opportunities eventually align. What may look like “luck” from the outside is often just preparation meeting the right moment.
