“My journey into massage and esthetics started with a deep passion for helping people heal and feel whole. Over the years, I’ve realized how powerful touch and care can be, especially for those facing life-altering health challenges.”
“My path to oncology massage and esthetics began when a longtime client stopped coming to appointments, and I discovered she was battling esophageal cancer. At that time, there was little information about safely providing skincare and massage to those undergoing treatment. I wanted to ensure she still felt cared for, so I made home visits and approached her care with research, compassion, and intention. Her gratitude and the transformative power of those moments became the catalyst for my journey into oncology care.”
“With 26 years as a licensed massage therapist and 30 years as a licensed esthetician, I’ve dedicated myself to not only perfecting my craft but also ensuring I provide the safest and most effective treatments possible. Over the last decade, I’ve focused on oncology-trained massage and esthetics to make a meaningful impact on the lives of cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.”
“I founded ‘A New Daly Beginning’ to address the gap I noticed in providing accessible, safe, and comforting care for individuals affected by cancer. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting and running a nonprofit like A New Daly Beginning has certainly been a journey filled with challenges. The process itself requires significant focus, perseverance, and a willingness to navigate uncharted waters. One of the biggest obstacles has been gaining broader acceptance within the medical community.
Even though there is evidence-based data demonstrating the positive impact that specialized oncology massage and esthetics can have on patients and survivors, we’ve faced resistance from healthcare providers and institutions. Many in the medical field are hesitant to recommend these therapies or integrate them into hospital settings, even when they could significantly improve patient quality of life. It can feel frustrating at times to know that the work is backed by science and personal testimonials, yet still struggles to be recognized as a vital part of holistic care.
Additionally, like many nonprofit founders, there have been challenges in securing funding, raising awareness, and building partnerships. Educating the public and healthcare providers about the safety and importance of these therapies has been a key part of our work—and it takes time to break down misconceptions.
But these struggles have fueled my determination. They’ve reinforced my belief in the importance of this mission and the need to keep advocating for change. Every time we touch the life of a cancer patient, survivor, or caregiver through our services, it’s a reminder of why this work matters. The road hasn’t been smooth, but the rewards have been incredibly meaningful.”

What were you like growing up?
Growing up as a middle child in a family of five, I naturally stepped into the role of caretaker for my younger siblings. I was the one who made sure everyone felt supported, nurtured, and cared for. From an early age, I found joy in helping others, which shaped my personality to be empathetic, patient, and deeply compassionate.
While I always had a strong sense of responsibility, I struggled for a while to figure out what my life’s calling would be. It wasn’t until I learned about the work estheticians and massage therapists do that everything clicked for me. Their ability to heal, nurture, and positively impact people’s lives through touch and care resonated with me deeply. That discovery set me on the path to the work I’m so passionate about today.
Looking back, my early experiences caring for my siblings helped prepare me for a life centered around serving others and creating a safe, healing space for those in need. It’s been a natural progression of who I’ve always been.
