Today we’d like to introduce you to Yared Alonzo.
Hi Yared, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been into all things beauty since I could remember from helping my sister style her hair to playing with her makeup. But at 15 I started to really enjoy makeup and before I knew it I was doing all my friend’s makeup for their quinceañeras and it snowballed into different events from weddings to just special events for my clients.
But at the age of 18, I took a long break from clients and I didn’t start over till 2021, and since then my career as a makeup artist has completely changed. I went from promoting myself in any way I could to be able to receive more clients to be able to work with some of Atlanta’s favorite girls that are all over my Instagram page.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part yes. I couldn’t be more thankful for all the love and support I’ve received along the way! But as I mentioned I did take a long break from 2018-2020 due to my sister passing away, for a while it didn’t feel right as she’s who really inspired me when it came to all things beauty. But I just knew she wouldn’t want me to quit so here I am.

I am an Atlanta-based makeup artist everyone who books me comes for my signature soft glam look as well as for my amazing base that’s photographs the best. I’m very well versed in all skin types as well as skin tones which I pride myself in! I love being able to provide amazing service for everyone. I am currently working on some amazing products for my cosmetics line that will be out soon!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think being attentive and being able to listen to your client’s needs and concerns as well as being super accepting of constructive criticism.
