

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Matthews.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my reselling journey four years ago as a hobby while I worked a full-time job in Corporate America. Long story short, I was laid off two years ago and loved this little hobby of mine so much, I decided to take a leap of faith and make it my full-time gig. It is amazing how life changes when you pursue your passion. We paid off all of ur debt and downsized to reduce the risk of this decision but could not be happier today because of this opportunity to resell online being surround by such amazing people and able to stay home more for my family.
Has it been a smooth road?
My advice to others starting out on a new journey or path is to not overthink it. Sometimes, it is just as important to go all in and not have all the answers. Some progress is better than stagnation. Take one step at a time if you must but most importantly, take that first step. The outcome can be so rewarding. There is plenty of time to perfect and adjust and learn along the way.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I am a full-time reseller on Poshmark with a very active presence on social media. My closet and social name is @bloomingbrands.
I bring previously loved or previously purchased and never worn fashion to people all across the country which allows them to buy their favorite brands for less and promotes fashion sustainability. So many times, we do not wear out the things we buy and they can be repurposed for someone who will wear and love them more than the original owner.
My goal is to offer items that are better than expected for a great deal to the consumer and get it to them as quickly as I can. It brings me so much joy to give an item a new lease on life for others to enjoy.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
It is so important to enjoy the journey and not just focus on your end goals. At the end of the day, that is what is it all about, all the little things.
