Conversations with the Inspiring Meron Tadesse

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meron Tadesse.

Meron, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Since I was little, I always knew that I was going to be successful. I just didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. Growing up, I was surrounded by medical professionals and thought that I would just become a doctor. But that didn’t work out when I realized that I didn’t like science. Soon after, I choose one of the most rigorous business majors in Accounting and soon after, added Finance to challenge myself even more. While in school, I took a business law class and fell in love. I decided to go to law school then soon after passing the bar started my own practice.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely not. Law school in itself is hard, period. During the first year of law school, I also had two close family members pass away.

Studying for the bar alone will make you have mini panic attacks and crying spells.

Owning your own business is a huge learning curve, along with learning how to practice law in the real world.

There is nothing easy about law school or having your own business. However successful does not come easy, it is just apart of the journey.

My advice would be to keep your eye on the prize and keep distractions to a minimum. Also to have a little fun, because life is all about balance.

What should we know about Tadesse Law? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a business and tax attorney.

I help people start their business by assisting with a formation, drafting contracts, negotiating, etc. Basically, outside general counsel services.

I also help people defend themselves against the IRS by negotiating an offer in compromises, installment agreements, going to tax court, etc.

I am proud that we aim to make legal fees affordable for the average person. Most legal services cater to low-income or high-income clients. However, the working class is neglected. We aim to close this gap by offering payment plans and similar arrangements so that the legal services are affordable.

It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
Sideline is a life saver, it allows clients to text. Which is great for quick questions regarding their case.

I love music, so Pandora is a must.

I also have been meaning to read the Alchemist.
