Michelle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I initially started my business 13 years ago to have the flexibility to care for my family and pursue my passion for planning fabulous events. Now, I find joy in helping others celebrate important milestones as they start families of their own.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s always a challenge to create a work/life balance especially when you are passionate about what you do. But it’s important to establish boundaries and guidelines for creating a business that will sustain your lifestyle.
What should we know about Lemiga Events? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Lemiga Events is an Atlanta based boutique company specializing in full-service planning and event design. We craft luxe celebrations for savvy clients who crave to go beyond what’s familiar and expected for their special event. Our clearly defined planning process allows you to enjoy the journey and let go of feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
We plan weddings, social, and corporate events that focus on over the top event design. I have designed events for Rick Ross, Cardi B, Idris Elba, Kim Zolciak Biermann and other celebrities in addition to high profile professional clientele.
For good reason, society often focuses more on the problems rather than the opportunities that exist, because the problems need to be solved. However, we’d probably also benefit from looking for and recognizing the opportunities that women are better positioned to capitalize on. Have you discovered such opportunities?
I think our emotional intelligence allows us to get to know our clients and relate to their emotional needs in the event planning process.
