Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Rosetti.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Victoria. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up with a Dad who was a traveling salesman and Mom who worked and raised four kids! We moved A LOT so life was all about adapting! I had no choice but to work hard for everything!
I had my two amazing boys, Sam & Eli after turning 40. Working my way up the corporate ladder, I spent 28 years in the insurance industry and decided the long hours and demands were compromising my health and my family. I resigned! I committed to a lifestyle of health and wellness while reinventing myself as a sole proprietor and business owner.
Meeting my business partner, Eliza Friedman, at a charity event, we decided to use our talents and resources to help charity organizations from California to Georgia. Designing amazing jewelry that is crafted in Italy and imported exclusively to support charities and other non-profits from east to west raise funds. Our collection is not otherwise for sale. It cannot be found in stores. We are proud to have raised over $1.5M for hundreds of charities, and we are just getting started!
Received personal recognitions:
“Influential Insider” Jezebel Magazine 2015
“Dynamic Women” Atlantan Magazine 2016
“Over 40 & Fabulous” Best Self Magazine 2016
Jewels With A Purpose “Best New Give-Back Initiative 2017” Best Self Magazine
“Preferred Partner” Mercedes Benz Buckhead Atlanta 2018-2019
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles, challenges, and bumps along the way are part of life and who we are. I always quote hockey champion “the great one” Wayne Gretzky “skate to where the puck is going to be, not to where it has been.”
The best advice I can share is to learn from the lessons that life has given (or gifted) to you. Grow from them by embracing them as learning opportunities, not failures. Take care of your health with exercise while fueling your body with the right foods. Live life to the full potential and never let them outlast you! Last but not least, start your own business and always give back!
What should we know about Jewels With A Purpose? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We face the same challenges most new businesses with an innovative approach face. Those first few years were a bit challenging because charities often find it difficult to be innovative and think outside the box. Since our inception, it has been our desire not to open retail stores and have large advertising budgets to build our brand. We decided to design our products and our company to cater exclusively to the world of fundraising for worthwhile organizations.
As we partnered with non-profits, they witness the professionalism, the attention to detail, and the elegance we add to their event. The memories created for the patrons and increased funds raised from our jewelry led them to book us on the spot for their next event and referring us to other organizations. We have become an integral part of the charity and non-profit landscape. Through this success, we never lose sight of our mission: Generosity, Compassion, Philanthropy.
For fundraising events in the Southeast, I attend and assist to ensure that every aspect of the silent auction from providing the description of the items, arriving prior to the event to set up the jewelry and handling our popular mystery jewelry pull, the “Giving Tree.” I stay until the end when we designate the items to the winners. Another significant contribution is the free consulting service that we offer to the charities based on our years of expertise.
Being a part and contributing to each event, meeting the donors, which are the very soul of each event, that’s my absolute favorite part!! The guests were so complimentary of the jewelry and this continuously motivates me to do even more. Before every event, I get excited and I just can’t wait to be there to bring my positive attitude, my happy smile and to listen to the personal stories.
Our relationships and dedication make us unique and now we offer our services remotely to charity fundraisers across the country.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
Creating relationships and networking has always been a passion for me. I enjoy creating networking groups and connecting people. I truly believe that if you help others succeed it will come back to you two-fold. I am very “unselfish” with my time and always asking people “how can I help you?”
I created a ten year series of “Lunch & Learn” seminars in the corporate world and later as an entrepreneur created a series of “Super Power Lunches” to create knowledge and build those “go-to” relationships while empowering other women.
Success is not always built on what you know, but who you create relationships with. Never judge and always keep an open mind and open ear when you meet someone new. You never know what they may be able to share with you!
