Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Miller.
Stephanie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story begins with me being a little girl in the kitchen watching my mother cook. I started cooking at an early age. I was the little girl with an Easy Bake Oven thinking I was a top chef! I have always enjoyed cooking, it’s something that I truly love to do. I’ve always loved how my creativity would shine through what I cooked. I got where I am today by practice, and the influence of my amazing mother and grandmother.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenge I faced was confidence. I remember when I first started posting my work on social media I would think to myself that it wasn’t “all that.” I would always find myself comparing my work to others and thinking the content I created just wasn’t good enough. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is to believe in myself. I truly believe that everything starts and ends with me. My thoughts, attitude and determination are all vital for my success and progression. Looking back the road has been quite bumpy. I wasn’t sure of myself. I would always go back and fourth thinking to myself “Should I do this?” “Do I have what it takes?” “What if I fail?” I would like to share this quote my Air Force tech school instructor told me “Don’t fear failure but be terrified of regret”
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
You should know that I genuinely love to cook, and I’ll never get tired of it. You should know that I LOVE when people eat my food and I hear that “mmm.” You should know that I am a chef and a creator.
How do you think about luck?
To be honest I don’t believe in luck. I believe that everything that has happened to me was meant for me. I believe I’m at the right place, in the right time.
