Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandria Norman.
Hi Alexandria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a hairstylist. I am from Atlanta GA and my career started from a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I always loved doing hair and began to do my own hair at the age of seven. Fast fast forward to today, and I am a hairstylist and I have been licensed for eight years now.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has this road been smooth? No. But no matter the struggles, I won’t and will never give up. I am a mother of three girls. So there are times where I have to find the balance between running a business and being a mom. Also, there are times where all businesses go through slow times. During those times, your cash flow may not be as lucrative as usual. During those times, you handle and do tasks you may typically not have time to do so to having a busy schedule. No matter the obstacles, you always continue to push forward.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed Hairstylist. I specialize in healthy hair care, hair color, and extensions. I am known mostly for being a color specialist and extension specialist. I also sell hair extensions online and in salons. I’m most proud of how far my business has gone and grown over the years. I believe what sets me apart from others is my professionalism as a stylist. I am extremely appreciative of my clients and their support and I continue to show up and aim to always please and satisfy my clients. I truly love what I do. And I think it shows with the great relationships I’ve built over the years with some amazing clients.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Some people I think deserve credit is my mother, she is one of my number one supporters. My family friends, brothers and sisters. My friend Amber she has played a big role in helping me establish myself as a business. I am forever grateful to have her in my life. Everyone in my life has helped me to just keep going with constant encouragement. They always let me know how proud they are of me. It always means a lot. Even at times when I feel I could be doing more. These people have impacted me and helped me along the way.
