Conversations with Allison Rozzel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Rozzel.

Hi Allison, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started when the reality of my one and only child was about to graduate from high school and I was hit with the reality that I had made being my son’s mother my entire identity. So I panicked and then I prayed. During this time I was also going through a spiritual awakening. I began blogging about my journey and from their I met my mentor who encouraged me to go into coaching. And from there Spirit started showing more to me regarding my calling. I got my reiki certification and it was on from there.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It absolutely had NOT been a smooth road. I didn’t know that I would still be changing and evolving the further into the journey I got. Some of my struggles were with self worth, money blocks and struggling with finding my community/niche. I didn’t realize it but my history of people pleasing was keeping me from finding my community because I was still trying to play it safe, not offend anyone or leave anyone out of what I had to offer. But then I learned that I’m not for everybody and that’s perfectly okay.

I also began to receive coaching to help me move past my money blocks. The energy of money is often mishandled and misunderstood. So often we don’t realize that we have these blocks until it’s time to price our programs, products, services, etc. I was not charging my worth and it was hurting me. Once I worked on those blocks, I now charge my worth. My attitude is, the price is the price and I’m worth it!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Spiritual Wellness & Empowerment Coach for Black women and women of color 40+. I help them embody their calling as lightworkers, spiritual coaches, intuitives, healers, or creatives by guiding them back to their power, purpose, and magick.

This is done through Reiki training + certification, spiritual guidance, Reikipreneur skills, and confidence-building strategies, I’m empowering black women and women of color who are and over to stop hiding in plain sight, release old limitations, and step fully into the women they came here to be.

What I’m most proud of as of last November, I became a published author with my first book, “Starting Over at; My Sacred Journey of Self Development, Empowerment & Self Love”. That was a lifelong dream come true and the best part is, as of right now I’m putting the finishing touches on my next book. More details to come about that though.

What sets me apart is that I just show up as me. I’m not trying to be like anyone else. I’m just allowing Spirit and the Ancestors to work through me. I leave myself open for Them to work through me. Always!

What makes you happy?
I find happiness and joy in the little things. I find that we are always looking for the next big thing to satisfy some part of ourselves where we may feel incomplete. So I love drinking coffee from my favorite Winnie the Pooh mug. I love being out in nature, that makes me happy. Seeing my son’s face, hearing his voice, his laugh definitely makes me happy. It’s the love that I’m allowing into my life that helps me find joy and gratitude. Not saying I’m happy all of the time, that’s not realistic because life be lifing. But when you can have those moments of joy, revel in them. Make them last for as long as you can.
