Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has likely been filled with both triumphs and challenges, as is often the case with pursuing one’s dreams. While I have undoubtedly achieved notable successes, such as dancing alongside prominent artists and establishing herself as a fitness trainer and dance instructor, it’s reasonable to assume that she faced obstacles along the way.
Some potential struggles I may have encountered could include:
Balancing Multiple Responsibilities: Juggling my aspirations as a performer, educator, and fitness trainer alongside my academic pursuits and personal life may have presented challenges in terms of time management and prioritization.
Financial Constraints: Pursuing a career in the entertainment industry and investing in further education can be financially demanding. I may have faced obstacles in funding my education, training or pursuing opportunities in the competitive world of dance and entertainment.
Navigating the Industry: Breaking into the entertainment industry can be difficult, requiring perseverance, networking, and resilience in the face of rejection. I may have experienced setbacks or faced barriers in advancing my career or securing opportunities in the fiercely competitive world of dance and performance.
Managing Expectations: Pursuing unconventional career paths often involves facing skepticism or criticism from others who may not understand or support one’s goals. I may have encountered doubters or naysayers along the way, requiring her to remain steadfast in her convictions and belief in her abilities.
Despite these potential challenges, my determination, passion, and resilience likely played a significant role in overcoming obstacles and forging my path forward. Each hurdle I faced likely served as a learning experience, strengthening, resolve and shaping me into the accomplished individual I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a multitalented individual, serving as both a twerk instructor and a rapper. My involvement in writing music and collaborating with my team, Raw Quality Sounds, enriches my creative endeavors. My experiences in both roles mutually inspire and influence each other, amplifying creativity and motivation in my twerk classes and music. In my classes, I utilize lyrics as a fundamental tool to choreograph routines, ensuring seamless alignment with the music’s message and rhythm. This method enhances storytelling and emotional connection, fostering deeper engagement among my students with both the music and the choreography.
