Conversations with Austin Quinn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Quinn

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story isn’t unique in that it both starts & continues with God. I wouldn’t be who or where i am today without God, so it’s important to me to include within my story. For as long as I could remember the world was always so colorful to me. This black & white way to go about thinking, feeling, speaking, creating etc… was always so confusing to me. That internal/external frustration in trying to connect with the world more positively, alongside the inherent desire to bring life to things that have yet to be seen or needs more light etc… laid the stone for the path i’m walking. Recently i’ve moved back into America from London to my new location in ATL . I’m doing my best to continue to help aid/elevate the environment + it’s people via Holistic therapy in healthcare & Direction/Photography in the artistic world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No road is smooth without the continued use of it over time. Every new or different path is going to come with its unique challenges to cause the necessary reactions in order continue to push things forward. Everything is for us & nothing against us. For me, social dynamics of all sorts were really an obstacle. When you’re as passionate as i about bringing about positive changes, you want folks to come together to bring it to life. In healthcare/art you cannot force people to do the things they should/need for themselves/environment, nor can you force them to see your perspectives etc… It takes a lot of willingness, patience, courage & grace to push forward in positive ways not only for your personal world, but more importantly in others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve been many people in my lifetime thus far and have done many things. Most consistently i recognize that the healthcare & art worlds have really always been connected with I & I. I’m currently specialized in naturopathic/holistic therapy, having patients/clients with an array of muscular & energetic challenges/ traumas. One of my duties in this is to recognize the challenges in body, then come up with a solution with/for you so you don’t have experience a similar cycle. In the art world i have a plethora of notable names as clients, which in include the likes of Vogue, Dazed, Essence & Cosmopolitan. I love creating things you don’t really get to see or feel a whole lot of when looking around the world. I also really do enjoy making pieces in revolution for things not getting enough attention. What i’m proud of most is my continued pursuit & thirst to learn/unlearn. In doing so i’ve been blessed to do many powerful things from, organizing city wide clean ups, to donating + volunteering goods/resources to those in need, even when all i may have at the time is my time, energy & care. Only God knows what truly makes me special on a planet full of unique individuals. I just pray to continued to be able to be of use & help bring about true blessings in abundance.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is a state of being.
