Conversations with BIG Draco

Today we’d like to introduce you to BIG Draco.

Hi BIG, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Dra McQuarter aka Draco Lombardi also known as BIGDraco, was born and raised in Jackson, MS. BIGDraco started writing and recording music since the age of 8-9 years old and developed most of his younger skill set being in the school choir and church choir. By the age of 18 BIGDraco started playing sports in Jackson, MS and went on to play college football at Northeast Mississippi. There in college he was red-shirted his freshman year but was also apart of the dynasty 2016 Northeast Mississippi who was ranked #9 in the nation in junior college football, within other prestiges colleges with elite football programs such as “East Mississippi” “Mississippi Gulf Coast” and “Northwest CC”. After college BIGDraco then moved back to Jackson, MS and had his first daughter at the age of 21. Through the wicked streets of Jackson, MS Draco has risen. He’s constantly shown his consistent love for music through his YouTube (@BIGDracoMusic) and his Instagram (@BigDracoOfficial). Dodging gun violence, being targeted in shoot-outs, jail and the harsh poverty and corruption/crime rate in Jackson, Draco has his mind set on bigger goals and aspirations. In March 2024, BIGDraco moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Since then he’s been hustling on the underground scene as a new school artist. His debut mixtape “Draco Season” was hosted by well known DJ, DJ Young Shawn, Young Shawn has worked with other DJ’s and artist such as Lil Lonnie, DJ Ben Frank, DJ Scream, Da Joker, Millie Montana and other more. 2025 and moving forward BIGDraco remains independent and has been putting out moving consistently since 2022. His new singles such as Chase The Bag & April Fools has well over 10,000 plays on YouTube, over 10K plays on Apple Music and Spotify. BIGDraco states “I’ve moved on to bigger places, switched my route different states” as he stated in Chase The Bag, means life’s only going to get better and is considered a well-known track for most independent hustlers! His next project “Life is a Gamble” is set to debut in July 2025

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life’s been lifing. I just make the best out of my situations that I’m dealt with. We all have daily responsibilities and things we must do in order to survive. Whether that’s making sacrifices or just making better daily choices. I never truly asked god, why certain things happen but I just try to make lessons out of all virtues that I go through

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist. I also am a business owner. I own my own clothing brand, (GGG) (@GlobalGoatGrind) on Instagram, in which I develop merch and sometimes either model them myself or have other content creators style my brand.
