Conversations with Bria Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bria Moore.

Hi Bria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Bria Monet Moore. I’m originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but I now reside in Montgomery, AL. I’m very multi-complexed. I’m educated, I’m an entrepreneur and an employee. I’ve gotten where I am today with the help of GOD. I’ve always been very intellectually and physically gifted. I would casually braid, sew-in, and render makeup services for friends and classmates throughout middle school, high school, and college at the University of Alabama. As an adolescent, my parents sculpted me and assisted me with turning my gift into a business. In 2021, I was a financial auditor for a company that I seemingly enjoyed working for but I wanted much more freedom. I happened to see the amount that people would pay for knotless braids and I set up shop. Knotless braids were fairly new so I decided to reach out to a relative of mine (Kortni Daniels) to learn the technique. Kortni agreed and taught me the technique in a few hours. I would create a demand by offering knotless braids only on Saturday & Sunday. I rendered services at Cr3ative Events Studio until I could secure a salon suite of my own. I made such a substantial amount of money within the weekend that about two months in, I decided to leave my full-time job and become a full-time braider. I discussed it with my spouse and he agreed to support me financially during and if in fact, it didn’t go as planned. This also allotted me more time to finish my degree program. I’ve gotten where I am today with hard work, dedication, execution, and lots of prayer. I took a risk and left my full-time job, and blessings have been flowing ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. However, I’ve always looked at any opposition as an opportunity to grow. The biggest challenge that I’ve faced has been being publicly humiliated for a terribly poor business decision I made. I decided to use my public humiliation as motivation. I’ve learned that in business, you have to look at things from a consumer standpoint. You have to be fair, intentional, courteous, considerate, and punctual. I’m thankful for the growing pains, they’ve helped me evolve into the amazing woman I am today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m currently the owner of two (2) businesses, TIB ENTERPRISE, LLC (dba -BraidsbyBria, LLC) & 7 Heaven Cleaning Professionals, LLC. I’m receiving my B.S. in Data Analytics and remotely interning for Userlytics. I specialize protective styles such as knotless braids and feed-in braids. I am expanding to a new location where more specialized hair care services will be offered. My goal is to create a 1 stop shop by the end of the year. Makeup, Lash, and Retail services will be offered. I aspire to have a career in tech and a thriving multi-purposed salon all before the age of 30. I also have a cleaning service (7 Heaven Cleaning Professionals) that my mother is part-owner of. We offer cleaning services for non-residential contract providers. I’ll be taking my talents to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in two months and I’m absolutely excited! I’m no stranger to hard-work and dedication. If I want it, it’s already mine.

The thing that sets me apart from others is the experience. I’m always praised for my professionalism, my customer service and my punctuality. My clients know that they can depend on me and that my word is my bond. My clients can relax at my salon and feel beautiful after they leave. I strive to provide the upmost satisfaction and overall experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Following GOD’s plan makes me happy. Being obedient makes me happy which grants me peace and serenity.

Business-wise customer satisfaction and retention makes me happy. To know that I’m excelling in both areas of my life makes me happy. I enjoy being a light and an example of God’s love.

My spouse, my mother and father, cousins friends, clients and last but certainly not least GOD. My social-cultural atmosphere consists of level-headed, spiritually driven, compassionate, and considerate people. I’ll also shine a light on my clients. I’m truly grateful for my clients who consider me and pour into me vivaciously. I’m appreciative of the love and support that I have in my life. I’m blessed across the board!
