Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Mott.
Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
“Aijalon Amaree Aesthetics was established in 2021.
My career journey began with a different vision. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in May 2015 with the initial hope of working in the medical field. However, I soon realized my personality thrives in an environment that blends client care with creative entrepreneurship.
This led me, in August of 2015, to return to school to obtain my esthetics license. This is when I understood that the beauty industry is truly where my calling exists—specifically because I enjoy making clients feel confident, embracing the artistic elements of esthetics, cultivating a direct client connection, and being that listening ear when my clients need to vent.
My journey up until now has been a true testament to my faith and passion. I’ve faced trials and tribulations on the path to being the best esthetician, but I live by the sayings, ‘anything worth having is worth fighting for and ‘anything you do is how big you make it.’ ‘There have been times I wanted to quit, but I draw motivation from my kids, the road ahead, and all the hard work I’ve already invested. I’m nowhere close to my end-all goals—because they are big!—but with every stride I take, I will continue to climb higher and higher until I reach the top.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
“Absolutely not, it has not been smooth sailing. But the challenges I faced were necessary steps that strengthened my resolve and clarified my purpose.
One of the first sacrifices I had to make was quitting my full-time job at Aflac to take a serving job at Olive Garden. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I’ve always seen the bigger picture and am not afraid to take risks. Once I set my mind to something, I am committed.
The financial and time commitment was demanding:
Esthetics school was all day Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Because I already had an undergraduate degree, financial aid was not an option. I had to pay the $5,000–$6,000 tuition completely out of pocket. I didn’t know exactly how I would pay for it, but with faith, everything worked out, and I made it happen.
The struggles didn’t stop there. After obtaining my license, I faced a new set of challenges: the limited number of entry-level jobs and the common demand for prior experience. I literally broke down crying in an interview because I felt stuck—how could I gain experience if no one would give me a chance?
This journey is not a walk in the park; you must have the passion and dedication to thrive. My hope is that my story can help someone just beginning this journey, or someone ready to throw in the towel. This is a very rewarding and lucrative industry with endless opportunities, but you have to put in the work, keep pushing when you fall, and continue to fight for what you want.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
“I am a licensed esthetician and the proud owner of my own suite, Aijalon Amaree Aesthetics.
My work is focused on enhancing natural beauty through specialized services. I specialize primarily as an expert brow artist, covering services like microblading, as well as sugaring for hair removal, and custom eyelash clusters.
What I’m truly most proud of is my ability to persevere and overcome the significant roadblocks I faced earlier in life. That resilience fuels my commitment to my business every single day.
What truly sets me apart is my approach to client relationships and the quality of the experience I provide. To me, my clients are not just another number—they are family. I believe that client loyalty is built on genuine connection.
Every appointment is designed to be an experience. I want my clients to come in, listen to the mellow music, release the stresses of their day, meditate, vent, and simply enjoy the positive vibes. I’m here for it all! I am absolutely dedicated to the quality of my work, and I will always go above and beyond to ensure they get great results and feel completely taken care of.”
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
“There are several ways people can work with, collaborate with, and support Aijalon Amaree Aesthetics.
Immediate Support & Collaboration:
Become a Client: The best way to support me right now is simply to book an appointment and come hang out at the suite! I encourage anyone interested in my services—whether it’s custom brows, sugaring, or lashes—to visit.
Engagement: You can follow and engage with me on social media. I am on Facebook at @ Aijalon Amaree Asthetic and on Instagram at @aijalon_amareeaesthetics. While social media isn’t my strongest suit right now, I am dedicated to learning and becoming more involved.
Future Opportunities & Goals:
I am open to all opportunities for partnership. If someone is looking to collaborate, particularly in social media marketing or creating content to showcase my work, I would be eager to learn and partner with them.
Eventually, I would love to start navigating the entertainment, fashion, and television side of the industry, offering my expertise as a top-tier esthetician to a broader audience.”
