Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Wallace.
Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I found out I was pregnant, my husband and I decided that it would be best for our family to become stay-at-home mom once our daughter was born. Then on December 7th, 2021, our beautiful daughter Carter arrived. It was surreal for us both and I wanted to savor every moment we had with her. I then began documenting our new lives with Carter and my new life as a stay-at-home wife and mother. It started off as taking pictures here and there to send to friends and family. Eventually, I decided to publish photos and videos to Instagram, and here we are!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As a new mom, it definitely came with its challenges! There were a lot of tears (from both Carter and I), sleepless nights, confusion, adapting, and overall, just learning how to be a mom that is now responsible for another life. I had a vision of what motherhood was going to be like and what kind of mother I would be. Then I gave birth, and I practically had to alter my thought process completely. I’m a planner so it was extremely challenging for me to stray from what I initially planned to be as a parent, but in the end, I learned it wasn’t about what I wanted anymore but about what my baby needed.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create content surrounding all things motherhood, sharing the everyday lives of myself and my daughter Carter. My goal is to support and encourage other moms and moms-to-be in any way possible. Whether that’s offering advice, tips and tricks or at times, a listening ear and shoulder to cry on. Before I became pregnant and became a mother myself, it was rare to see content creators that shared their genuine lives as parents. What sets me apart from other creators is that I’m not afraid to share our truthful journey; I share the highs, lows, good times, and bad times of it all.
