Conversations with Brittany Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Williams.

Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hey, y’all! I actually started my journey as a preteen playing with makeup. In 2020, I started my first cosmetic brand, ’96beatz. Around that time I was into doing my makeup and I discovered lash extensions and I fell completely in love with the art of it. I took a makeup class with QueeTee Faces and in 2021 I trained with Globally Marked LLC — both the beginner and advanced courses — and that was my introduction into performing services in the beauty world.

But I’m the type of person who wants to do things the right way. I realized that being ‘certified’ wasn’t enough. If I wanted to legally and professionally offer lash extensions and or makeup services, I needed to earn an esthetics or cosmetology license. So I enrolled at Health and Style Institute for Skincare Therapy strictly to get licensed to provide lash services.

Somewhere along that journey, everything shifted. I didn’t just fall in love with lashes — I fell in love with skin care and education. Facials, body treatments, the science behind products, how herbs heal the body, how the foods you consume matter and most of all, helping people feel confident in their own skin. That passion grew into something much bigger than what I originally planned. I only attended school to do lashes!

And that’s how Bliss and Blush Spa was born — from a desire to do things the right way, to hone my craft, and to create a space where beauty, confidence, and care come together.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Along the way, I have had my share of challenges. My home was burglarized right before finishing school and it was truly discouraging. They had stolen all of my son’s toys and his 4 wheeler, cosmetic inventory, lash inventory, and all of the spa equipment I had purchased while in esthetic school. The skin care therapy program was one year and I didn’t finish the program until a year and a half later. I had amazing instructors and made Esty besties along the way. I graduated with 4 chords and many certificates. I was a part of a paid internship while in school , and I was the lead esthetician by the time I left. After school, I hit the ground running and got my esthetic license in three states upon passing state board. I am now a licensed esthetician in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As it stands I am currently a licensed esthetician and the founder/owner of Bliss and Blush Spa, where my mission is to help people build confidence from the inside out. I specialize in customized facials tailored to each client’s unique skin concerns, and I’m especially known for my signature wildflower honey and turmeric mask that helps brighten dark spots and address hyperpigmentation.

One of my most requested services is my facial massage. It’s truly my thing—I focus on sculpting, lifting, and giving the face a real workout while creating a deeply relaxing experience.

What I’m most proud of is my perseverance. I’ve faced some difficult moments, from rebuilding after a robbery to making sacrifices as a mother so I could focus on creating a better future for myself and my son. Through it all, I never stopped moving forward. Those experiences shaped my resilience and strengthened my purpose.

What sets me apart is my genuine commitment to restoring confidence in others. When people feel confident, they move differently, dream bigger, and inspire those around them. Helping clients tap into that inner glow is not just my work—it’s my calling, and it’s deeply important to me and to the community I serve.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory takes me back to high school, when I would save paychecks from American Eagle and Panera Bread just so I could buy makeup tools from e.l.f. That was my little world of peace. Before I knew anything about “self-care,” journaling, doing my makeup, and taking care of my skin were already my therapy. I always kept aloe soothing gel lined up on my bathroom counter—even though it’s ironic, because aloe irritates my skin now.

Looking back, beauty has always been my safe space. Before tattoos and piercings became my form of expression, it was blush, brushes, and skincare bottles scattered everywhere. I’ll never forget the day my dog—who is now 14 years old—chewed up my brushes and blushes, or how my nieces loved sneaking into my makeup collection. I used to be so annoyed… but honestly, it’s full circle. Beauty has always been embedded in my life, long before it became my career.
