Today we’d like to introduce you to Briuna Clark
Hi Briuna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas—a small but soulful city with a population of around 64,000. North Little Rock is a place where community values run deep, opportunities can sometimes feel limited, and the environment molds you to be either content with what is or bold enough to create what could be. The city is rich in Southern charm, filled with hardworking people, and steeped in a slower pace of life. However, statistically and historically, it hasn’t always been known for producing entrepreneurs who go on to launch national brands or global businesses. So for someone like me—a Black woman with big dreams, a curious mind, and relentless drive—it’s already an extraordinary story to be writing my own legacy through SocialSphere Gaming.
Growing up, my mother was intentional in how she raised me and my siblings. She made sure we were always involved—whether it was church, sports, clubs, or academic programs. I remember her constantly reminding us that with God, there are no limits. That message was deeply engraved in me from a young age. I was always imaginative, always creating, and always consistent in executing the ideas I saw in my mind’s eye. Creativity was my language, and consistency was my strength.
Initially, I pursued a traditional path with the goal of becoming a dentist. I began my undergraduate studies at Arkansas State University and earned my Associate of Science degree. But life, in its unpredictability, steered me in a different direction when my mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. That moment reshaped everything for me. I transferred to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to be closer to home and graduated in 2018.
Balancing caregiving with life’s demands wasn’t easy, but it grounded me in compassion, responsibility, and faith. In the beginning of 2020, I began working at the Department of Veteran Affairs, and I quickly moved up the ladder throughout the years—proof that with work ethic and grace, you can always rise. However, in 2020 we also know that it was a year that changed the world and cracked open new dimensions of possibility for me. While the world paused, I pressed play on a new chapter. I enrolled in an accelerated MBA program at Louisiana State University Shreveport to fast-track my business knowledge and graduated in 2021. Simultaneously, I maintained a medium-distance relationship from throughout these years that would eventually inspire one of the most beautiful and unanticipated pivots in my journey: SocialSphere Gaming.
During the pandemic, I realized just how disconnected people had become—so consumed by screens that they’d forgotten the magic of real, face-to-face interaction. I’ve always been someone who loves bringing people together, making them laugh, making them feel, and helping them create unforgettable memories. I began thinking of ways to ignite that spark again—particularly in relationships. That’s when the idea for my first interactive couples’ card game was born.
Throughout 2021, I poured myself into research and development, writing questions, testing concepts, learning manufacturing protocols, and building from the ground up. By Spring 2022, I launched You Say You Know Me: Couples Edition. The response was overwhelming. Friends, families, even strangers connected with the game on a deep level. It sparked healing conversations, laughter, and learning. I knew I had something special—but I also knew I had to leave Arkansas to give it wings.
One thing about Arkansas—it’s beautiful, but growth there has a ceiling. My spirit was calling me higher. That same year, I stumbled across an ad for the Ultimate Women’s Expo in Atlanta. Without hesitation, I signed up. When I arrived in Fall 2022, I was met with divine alignment—people who embraced my vision, supported my dream, and helped create a new network of possibility for SocialSphere. Atlanta saw me in ways that felt both empowering and spiritually confirming.
After returning home, I reflected deeply. The love and elevation I received in Atlanta felt like confirmation from God that this was the next step. And in 2024, I made the permanent move. I haven’t looked back since.
Since then, SocialSphere Gaming has been blessed with some powerful moments. We were featured on Married to Medicine, Season 11, Episode 8. In 2023, we were accepted into Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator Program. And this is just the beginning. SocialSphere is growing beyond couples—we’re expanding into games for friends, families, churches, fitness communities, schools, and beyond. We’re building a brand rooted in connection, laughter, and love—something the world desperately needs.
Every single step of this journey has been guided by faith. I hold tight to Ezekiel 36:11: “I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings.” That scripture reminds me daily that I’m not just creating games—I’m creating purpose-filled experiences. And I am forever grateful for the vision, the voice, and the victory God placed in me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Whew—no, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. It’s been a beautifully rugged, faith-filled journey full of highs, lows, detours, and divine redirection.
One of the hardest decisions I ever had to make was choosing to leave my hometown—leaving behind my parents, especially my mother who battles MS, and my siblings, who have always been my anchors. It felt like I was walking away from comfort to chase a dream that had no guaranteed timeline. I wrestled heavily with guilt. The weight of wondering if I was being selfish for leaving, if my absence would create resentment, or if I’d be viewed as someone who ran off to chase something unrealistic was something I had to pray through constantly.
But at the same time, I had to trust that the same God who called me to build SocialSphere would also cover the responsibilities I left behind. That He would be their strength when I couldn’t be physically present. That He would speak peace into my family as I chased purpose. Stepping out on faith and keeping your faith at the same time is no small task. It’s one thing to say “I believe,” and another to walk that belief out when nothing around you looks certain.
When I moved to Atlanta, I didn’t have everything lined up. My stable government career with the VA came to an end, and for the first time in years, I had to be patient with employment. There were days I questioned if I made the right move—especially when unexpected car issues hit, income was inconsistent, and I found myself constantly job searching while still trying to pour into SocialSphere.
And let’s be real—most people prefer comfort and security. It’s natural. But as Will Smith and Tyler Perry have both said so well, entrepreneurship is a scary and dark road. It will stretch you in every way possible. You’ll be tested emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially. You have to be willing to sacrifice it all without knowing how or when the breakthrough will come. And the only thing that truly carried me from one step to the next was my faith in God. That was my lifeline.
There were moments when I felt like SocialSphere had to take a back seat—like I was putting in so much work with little return. But just when I felt discouraged, God would send small, divine reminders: an unexpected sale, a successful trademark filing, a new networking connection, someone reaching out just to say how much they loved the game. Those little sparks kept me going. They were confirmation that even in the unseen, He was working.
And in my waiting season, I didn’t just sit idle. I used that time to get certified as a personal trainer—a passion I’ve always had for helping people transform from the inside out. Later in 2024, I started a new career as a Medical Claims Adjuster, giving me financial grounding while still allowing room to build SocialSphere with greater intention.
Now, stepping into 2025, I can confidently say I’m walking into my year of restoration. Everything I lost, sacrificed, and prayed over—I believe God is restoring with better, with clarity, with alignment. I’ve learned that nothing is ever wasted—not the detours, the disappointments, or the delays. All of it was designed to prepare me for where I’m going. And now, I’m stronger, more focused, and more determined than ever to build something generational—not just for my family, but for the world.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I like to say I’m a creative visionary with a heart for people, a passion for purpose, and a mind that never stops building. Professionally, I wear several hats—and each of them ties back to my core mission: to help others connect, grow, and transform—whether emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually.
At my heart, I’m the founder of SocialSphere Gaming—a relationship-focused game brand designed to bring people together through interactive, face-to-face gameplay. In a world where people are more tapped into their phones than each other, I wanted to reignite real connection and communication. Our flagship product, You Say You Know Me: Couples Edition, launched in 2022 and was featured in a live segment on our local Fox16 News station in North Little Rock. That moment validated so much of the behind-the-scenes effort I had poured into the vision.
In 2023, I was honored to be awarded 1st Place in the Women Empowering Women: Branding Your Business contest hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center through the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. That award wasn’t just a win for me—it was a reminder that women with vision, strategy, and faith can build empires from their ideas.
Beyond gaming, I’m also a certified personal trainer. I’ve worked with over 11 clients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds—both online and in person, privately and through commercial gyms. I specialize in helping people not just transform their bodies, but rewire their minds for consistency and confidence. I’m most proud of the internal growth I witness in my clients—how they evolve mentally as they grow stronger physically. It’s powerful to watch someone step into their best self.
Interestingly enough, I’m known by many as the game creator who just so happens to be fit. But I see it differently—I’m a multi-dimensional woman who has learned how to honor all of her gifts. Whether I’m designing games, coaching fitness clients, or encouraging others on social media, I’m always showing up as my authentic self.
Even from my former career at the Department of Veteran Affairs, where I served as a Claims Rater, I’ve carried my heart for service with me. I still help veterans file for compensation using my knowledge and experience, staying informed even as a civilian. Giving back is part of my DNA.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend purpose, creativity, discipline, and service into everything I do. Not everyone can balance a 9–5 career, train clients part-time, and still pour into a growing business like SocialSphere during their downtime—but I do it with grace and gratitude.
I’ve recently begun merging my worlds by hosting live Q&A sessions in the gym, combining fitness with interactive games. It’s an experience that’s fun, educational, and community-driven—just like SocialSphere. Whether I’m in the gym or in a creative studio, the mission is always the same: connection, transformation, and impact.
I’m proud of my journey, my resilience, and the legacy I’m building. And I’m just getting started.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
In a nutshell, I believe risk-taking is non-negotiable if you truly want to live a life aligned with purpose. Either you get out of your own way now and go for it, or later blame yourself for not moving sooner. The only person who can truly stop you—is you. Fear doesn’t yield results, *faith* does. You can either *lock in now* and build the life you dream of, or spend the rest of your years clocking in for someone else’s vision. The choice is yours… but the risk is worth the reward. Hebrews 10:36 “For you need to have patience, that after you have done the will of God, he will give you your promise”.
