Hi Candace, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for creativity propelled me into event planning. I started planning an event as a passion hobby. I had recently moved to GA circa 2017 and I didn’t know anyone. I tried googling to find event planners in my area, but I could not find an event planner in my area with the level of professionalism or excellence I required. I decided to plan my events myself and slowly acquired clients because my work spoke for itself. My brand “Nothing But Extra” aims to provide my clients with that Extra Touch simply because we believe in the details, The Devil in always in the details. I love to take a client’s theme and create their dream event.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not, I had to learn everything about the business. But I’m a firm believer in Execution. The difference between a dream and reality is one’s willingness to execute. Past comfort is Progress, and I can testify that I have grown so much.

We specialize in assisting our clients with establishing/ maintaining budgets timelines, finding, selecting and reserving meaningful event spaces, acquiring permits, developing a theme, planning catering, acquiring professional bakers, arranging activities, selecting speakers and keynotes, arranging for equipment and facilities to minimize risk, and developing contingency plans.
