Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Wilson.
Hi Candice, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up in beauty salons owned by our mother, my sister and I were immersed in the world of hair from a young age. The hum of dryers, the scent of hair products, and the joy of transformation became part of our everyday lives. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for beauty and hair care.
Starting a hair extensions business has been a vision of ours for years. After much research, persistence, and prayer, we finally connected with the right vendors and developed a strategy that was not only thoughtful—but executable.
Together, my sister and I bring a unique blend of experience to the table. She has a background in Human Resources, giving her a deep understanding of people and relationships. I’ve worked closely with executive leadership in corporate America, specializing in business planning, marketing, and brand development. These experiences have shaped how we approach our business—with intention, strategy, and heart.
Today, we’re proud to run a business that reflects our roots, our passion, and our commitment to quality. While we currently operate online, we’re excited about the future—and the possibility of opening a brick-and-mortar location to serve our community even more personally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The beauty industry is a multi-billion-dollar space filled with established brands that customers already know and trust. As newcomers, one of our biggest challenges has been earning that same trust. There’s often skepticism when you’re new—but with consistency, faith, and a commitment to quality, we’re building something real. Little by little, we’re growing a brand that people can believe in.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an Executive Assistant to a CEO, I manage high-level administrative tasks, coordinate complex schedules, prepare executive communications, and serve as a strategic partner in day-to-day operations. It’s a role that requires precision, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.
The job can be incredibly demanding—balancing priorities, managing time-sensitive requests, and supporting leadership at the highest level—but it’s also deeply rewarding. It has given me a front-row seat to how businesses are run, how decisions are made, and what true leadership looks like. I’ve learned the value of clear communication, strategic thinking, and the power of staying organized under pressure.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I wouldn’t call myself a natural risk-taker, but I do believe in taking smart risks. If something feels aligned, well-researched, and the potential reward outweighs the fear, I’m willing to step out on faith. I like to think of myself as a safe risk-taker—someone who moves with intention, not impulse. Taking calculated risks has helped me grow, both personally and professionally, and I’ve learned that sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from simply being willing to try.
