Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea San Martin.
Hi Chelsea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well, it all started after I got a job at an art studio, That truly opened my eyes to the world of arts and crafts that I previously had no interest in before haha. I started crafting candles because I was looking for a creative outlet, I enjoy working with my hands and I love candles! Making homemade candles was the perfect combination of my interests.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far, it’s been smooth! The only obstacle has been that I’m a bit of a perfectionist. It took time to get my candles to perform exactly how I wanted them to. I spent many long nights studying and researching the craft of candle making. I thrive on precision and when you make candles, there is a formula involved where one missed step can throw off the final result!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I make homemade candles, and I specialize in using natural, non-toxic ingredients. I’m usually known for my aesthetically pleasing candles, which utilize pressed flowers to create a beautiful candle that stands out from the crowd!
What are your plans for the future?
My plan for the future is to be able to share my craft with others by hosting my very own candle workshop, selling my candles at local markets and shops! I would also love to offer my candles in bulk for party favors/ special events like weddings!
