Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Hargrove.
Hi Danielle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a recent graduate of Savannah State University. I was offered an internship with Alexis Williams as a Social Media Manager for her hair clinic, HeadQuarters Trichology Clinic, where I supported content creation, brand strategy, and audience engagement. I also assisted with her podcast, Energy Is Currency. Transitioning from an intern to a part-time role has been an incredibly rewarding experience and a strong start to my career, as it allowed me to apply my education in a real-world setting and demonstrate my skills as a recent graduate.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The challenges I have faced primarily involve building clientele and navigating rejection when pursuing opportunities that strongly align with my skills and passion. While being declined from roles where I could clearly see myself contributing to a business’s growth can be discouraging, these experiences have strengthened my resilience and motivated me to refine my approach, improve my skills, and continue seeking opportunities where I can make a meaningful impact.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently work as a Social Media Manager, and I also have experience as a photographer, videographer, and editor. This combination allows me to manage both strategy and creative execution effectively. One of my proudest accomplishments is securing a position immediately after graduating college, which affirmed my work ethic and dedication to my field. What sets me apart is the personality I bring to my work and my strong commitment to every project I take on. I am highly driven, detail-oriented, and always focused on delivering quality results.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I grew up just outside of Atlanta, but I spent a lot of time in the city. My mother was intentional about exposing us to different experiences, from attending Hawks games to visiting the High Museum and spending time around Centennial Park. Those experiences helped shape my appreciation for Atlanta’s culture, creativity, and diversity. I truly enjoy the energy and opportunities the city offers. While traffic can be challenging, as it is in many major cities, one concern I have is the growing homelessness population. With colder weather, it highlights the importance of continued efforts to support and care for those in need within the city.
