Today we’d like to introduce you to DanielSAN Cuyler.
Hi DanielSAN, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Yes, I first learned about graphics design from one of my favorite coach/teacher from my high school. I was doing it off & on for a couple years. When Covid-19 happen, I decided that it was time to take my passion seriously. One of my favorite sayings is “Sell your bed, so you can stop sleeping on your dreams” and that’s what I did. Yes, it is good money, but I do not do it for the money. I do it because I am bringing people’s ideas or vision to actual reality. That’s why I love doing what I do because that means more to me than money.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was just believing in myself. One thing about me I don’t care what people have to say about me, but when it came to my art I did care. It really took me a couple years to post my personal art pieces. I don’t know I just wanted everything to be perfect and that’s never going to happen. It was not until I had watch a GaryVee video and he was saying “forget about being perfect because it’s impossible, so just post your content”. Since then I learnt, to just post, but don’t do it for the likes, do because you love it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What I do is help people bring their ideas or visions to reality. I specialize in Art, whether it’s cover art, movie posters or logos. I’m known for The Art of Storytelling when it comes to my art. I always tell people if you want to get to know me better, look at my art. All my personal pieces tells my life story, it’s just hidden within my art. I am most proud of believing in myself and getting others to believe in themselves. What sets me apart is that I really love designing and I’m smiling just talking about it. Also what sets me apart is that if I was not getting paid for my art, I still will be designing and help others believe.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Yes the most important advice is to just BELIEVE in yourself because I promise you can do it; I believe in YOU. All it takes is one person to believe in you and I am that person. Also a young legend name Remain3k told me this before. “Design something new everyday whether you post it or not. Just design”. Last advice I can give is don’t care what others have to say because when you look in the mirror. Who do you see? YOU or them?
