Conversations with Daphne Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daphne Miller.

Hi Daphne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Blessed Events was founded in 2008 after I signed up to be on the decorating committee for our church’s Pastor’s Appreciation. When nobody else volunteered to be a part of that committee, I was given the push to tap into my talent. Months later I coordinated, designed and decorated my tenth-year anniversary renewal. Everyone fell in love with my unique style and gifted eye. Our Anniversary renewal was more than just an event it was an experience. After the renewal I received an influx of inquiries about coordinating, designing, and decorating events. That is how Blessed Events LLC came into existence.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Early 2016 I was diagnosed with lupus. Events were in such demand I kept working without treatment although symptomatic. Late 2020 while finishing a wedding I collapsed. This was the start of my health’s decline, and the road to recovery. I could not walk because of severe inflammation. I lost my hair, a percentage of my eyesight, and was in constant pain. BE often travels to do events, but constant movement, little sleep, poor diet and no exercise disabled me. Over the next two years I coordinated the events I had from my sick bed. All active contracts were honored, and BE was temporarily closed.
It is now 2025, I am well rested, restored in health and a little bit wiser. BE is back in full operation, even better than before. More opportunities were added to our services and once again included travel. Equipment rentals, graphics, and customizable items were made available. My Daughter moved to Smyrna, which gave us access to cover more area in our services. It truly brings me immense joy serving others through coordinating designing and decorating. Specializing in customizable lux intimate events, we will continue to give our clients unrivaled stress-free experiences they will never forget. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce to you my family owned and operated business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
