Today we’d like to introduce you to Deshaun Frazier.

Deshaun Frazier

Hi Deshaun, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is RuinDaRay real name is Deshaun Frazier, I was born October 26 1999 in Long Beach California. I was raised in Carson, CA where I went to Leapwood Elementary, Carnegie Middle School, then Carson High, and Rancho Dominguez Prep where I graduated high school. In 2017 I decided to go to the military after high school, where I enlisted as a cook.

I did 3 1/2 years in the army, while I was in, I was constantly writing lyrics and showing people around me. Getting feedback if they were good or not. I’ve been writing lyrics ever since middle school and it dawned on me “I should make music”, after all the feedback and praise I was getting. I started officially doing music in December 2019, investing in getting equipment and learning the craft of music.

At the start of my music career, I had Blaz with me as a mentor and a guide on music. 2021 After I got out of the military I moved back to California to take music more seriously, and really chase my dreams. I enrolled in the LA FILM SCHOOL down in Hollywood. After a year I graduated from THE LA FILM still pursuing music and getting even more opportunities than ever. Fast forward to now.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Really had to sit down and learn the equipment, piece by piece or not having money for studio sessions, and also not having money to get my song mastered. It would be a struggle because I didn’t know how to use some of my equipment and as I was learning it, I would have to continuously buy something new every time and when I had no money for anything.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a rapper/ engineer, I have a really good ear for music. I can pinpoint certain sounds in songs that can bring the listener closer to the artist and are hard to hear. My main talent is rapping one of my favorites that I’ve done has to be “IMMINENT”. I’m not just saying bullshit, I’m more creative with my flow and the way I use my words. I like to use wordplay that encourages you to think a little.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love ATL for the Waffle Houses and Zaxbys, these are the best spots to go when you are down in ATL. I don’t like the traffic and the fact that if you park your car somewhere where it says parking for 15/30 minutes, chances are your car going to get towed right after you walk into the store.

Pricing:
