Conversations with Drew Xzavier

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Xzavier.

Hi Drew, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am the owner of XReels&Visuals, I am a mobile videographer and licensed FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot. Everything for me started back in 2021, with the goal in mind to provide an experience unlike any other. With only an iPhone as my gear of choice. My vision was to create and visualize reel content as social platforms like Instagram and Tiktok. My goal for the client is to help them “Create Memories that Last Forever.” Fast Forward to January 7th, 2022, I became a licensed FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Part 107 Drone Pilot. My goal with the aerial side of X Reels & Visuals is to give all clients the opportunity to see everything from a different viewpoint. That is when I coined the name “ceoxdrone” which stands for Creating Every Opportunity With a Drone and created the phrase “Taking you to New Altitudes.” Since getting my Part 107, I have worked with many clients, big and small, and with some amazing Corporate brands around Atlanta.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We all face obstacles in Life, the key is to never stop. If you want to do something all you have to do is stick to it, have faith and God will show up for you. When professional videographers told me I would not be taken seriously when shooting with my iPhone, I proved them wrong and I had to add Reels to my business package because they have become so popular. When professional drone pilots told me my little drone was not equipped for the job. I proved them wrong and produced drone content for the Third Largest Hotel Group in the World.

Anytime you are being innovative in an industry you will always receive backlash, but at the end of the day, you know what God put in your heart to do and all you have to do is follow through.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a Drone Pilot, I create stunning cinematic content that gives the viewer a different perspective of the world. As a mobile videographer, I create stunning recap reels that visualize and tell a story that lasts a lifetime. I specialize in the creation of Reels, which has become the most important aspect in marketing my business since the world is focused on Reels. Reels have become a part of our culture, and more businesses and corporations are moving to the creation of reels. On Instagram (@_ceoxdrone) I am known for my stunning drone content, that has helped me land some of the best clients and gain some amazing business relationships with multiple city tourist Instagram pages.

I am most proud of my success that I have had, especially with having no background in photography or videography and self-teaching myself how to create stunning content. I am also proud of the brands I have worked with and seeing my content on their pages.

What really sets me apart from other drone pilots, is my planning with clients, from the moment a client gives me the location, I am spending time on Apple Maps, Google Maps and Google Earth, planning out shots that will give the client not only best look but also the most cinematic. I also take the time to research any special FAA waivers or clearances needed for the project ahead of time.

As a mobile videographer, what sets me apart is that I shoot on my iPhone. I can produce 4K quality content on the iPhone and have the ability to show the client 1st hand everything right after it has been captured. While I’m capturing footage, I am building a storyline in my head so that the editing process can go smooth and I can give the client a fast turnaround time on content.

What are your plans for the future?
The future is bright for XReels&Visuals and is currently development. I am currently producing a new Reel Series of Drone Content called “The Cinematic Vault: A Collection of Horizontal Experiences.” This series of reel productions lets the viewer see a full cinematic capture from the drone. Reels are in a 9×16 format (Portrait/Vertical), I ask the viewer to rotate their screen to 16×9 format (Landscape/Horizontal) to immerse themselves into a different experience. Furthermore, the Cityscaped: Atlanta Drone Print Store on my website: (https://xreelsvisuals.pixieset.com/cityscapedatlanta/) Is another aspect of the future. It is my take on Atlanta from an Aerial perspective. All photos inside of the store are available for purchase and I hope you take time to check it out. There are many more productions and ideas in the pipeline, and if you want to stay plugged into XReels&Visuals, follow me on my two Instagrams @_ceoxdrone and @xeffectvisuals.
