Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Nance.
Hi Edward, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Tampa, Florida and an identical twin. I make music with my twin brother Gregory Nance with a krew called Weird Krew. At a young age, music was always a part of our father’s side as we used instruments like guitar, drums, piano, flute and other instruments. It grew the most on me at 16 as I freestyled a lot with other people my age and explored by making tracks on SoundCloud. My first track I put out ever was called “memory” on SoundCloud. I explore Tampas swamps and parks to clear my mind. Music is always my life and so is staying healthy in every aspect of my life.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a very struggling road actually. Money problems kept me from continuing some things like school and having a better place but all in all, I keep optimistic and thrive for betterment. Bad relationships was a struggle, depression, and even with people you thought were friends.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a group called Weird Krew that I put together consisting of artists in Tampa but still trying to make big. As of now, it’s just me, my brother and an artist named King Cold holding it down. We all engineer, make beats and are artists freely creating. We do music with a passion and know the money will come along. We are hip hop based with some rap as well. We’ve been on stage together and individually to set different stage presence. What sets us apart is we don’t try to be different; we are different. Me as an artist, I can be very versatile with my music.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me by just simply asking. I collab and don’t do it for money. I love meeting new people and getting to know how they do things which gives me new perspectives in my life and theirs. Email me, find me on social media or meet me at local venues/events. Support is free. Just share my songs and we all will go up together.
