Today we’d like to introduce you to Eeyana Torres.
Hi Eeyana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always loved taking photos and videos of my environment and those around me. I like to document special moments because at the end of the day, I know that memories tend to fade away and having a visual memory holds a great amount of sentimental value. When I was a little kid, I loved taking pictures on my mom’s camera, and then one day I decided to save up for my own… so, at the age of 13, I did. Ever since then, my camera pretty much goes wherever I go and I love seeing the joy that my work brings to people. My photographs are truly my way of speaking to an audience through art. It’s definitely my way of leaving my mark on the world and creating an impact.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’d say it’s been a pretty smooth road, it’s all about the work and investment I put into myself and my business. I have a very strong support system who constantly encourages me to keep on pushing. I am very blessed and grateful for all of the love and support I receive.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a photographer and an actress, and I am very passionate about both careers. In photography, I specialize in portraits of individuals whether it’s for a special moment in their life or just because. I’m most proud of how far I have come in life, not just as a photographer but as an individual. Becoming a photographer has really allowed me to see life through a different lens. What sets me apart from others is how I create the mood for a photo… each photo I take comes with a different tone, and they are edited in a way to do just that. It’s my way of allowing my work to come to life and speak to the audience.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to always believe in myself even if it feels like no one else in the world could care. I do. Which is enough for me to keep on striving for greatness. I don’t need to seek validation from others to know that I’m doing an amazing job.
