Conversations with Eliad Vaknin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eliad Vaknin.

Hi Eliad, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Israel, raised by a father who was a contractor. From a young age, I was taught that in construction, your word matters — be honest, stand behind your promises, and take responsibility for your work.

After those early years, I took a three-year break from construction to serve in the Israeli military, which is mandatory for everyone. When that chapter was completed, I returned to construction and continued building my skills and experience in the field.

After living in Israel for several years as an adult, I decided to visit family who were living in Atlanta. During that visit, I fell in love with the U.S. and made the decision to stay and build my future here.

I’ve been involved in construction my entire life, learning the trade hands-on over the years. That experience shaped not only my technical knowledge, but also how I approach clients and projects. Quality work and trust have always gone hand in hand for me.

After years of working in the field, I started EV Remodeling to bring those values into my own company. I saw how often homeowners were frustrated by poor communication and shortcuts, and I wanted to create a better experience — one built on craftsmanship, transparency, and accountability.

Today, EV Remodeling focuses on high-quality renovations and additions, growing through referrals and long-term client relationships. While the company has evolved, the foundation remains the same: do honest work, stand behind every promise, and treat each home with care and respect.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting over in a new country meant building everything from scratch — relationships, trust, and a client base.

There were challenges in learning the local market, navigating regulations, and dealing with the ups and downs that come with construction. At times, growth came slower than expected, but those moments reinforced the importance of patience and consistency.

Looking back, those challenges were necessary. They helped define our standards and shaped the way we approach projects today — with more structure, clarity, and intention.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At EV Remodeling, we specialize in high-quality residential renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels, and basement renovations. Our focus is on thoughtful design, solid construction, and results that hold up over time.

We’re known for being detail-oriented, organized, and transparent throughout the process. Homeowners appreciate knowing what to expect and feeling confident from planning through completion.

What I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve built with our clients. Much of our work comes from referrals and repeat clients, which speaks to the relationships and standards we maintain.

What sets us apart is our approach. We’re selective about the projects we take on and personally oversee the work to ensure quality and accountability. Our goal is not just a beautiful result, but a remodeling experience that feels professional, honest, and well-managed from start to finish.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
The best way for people to work with us is by reaching out directly through our website or by referral. We typically start with a conversation to understand the project, goals, and expectations before moving forward.

We offer architectural and design services under our umbrella, and we strongly believe in starting projects this way. Beginning with design allows us to set the right foundation from the very first line on the drawing board, align expectations early, and ensure the project is planned correctly before construction begins.

Support often comes in the form of referrals and recommendations. When clients share their experience with others, it allows us to continue growing in a way that stays true to our values and approach.
