Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuel Glaze.
Hi Emmanuel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am currently multimedia talent and nonprofit Founder and CEO. In November 2014, I co-created a show called the Crush Sports Talk, that is an online radio show and podcast. Our show is focused on creating a sports talk show by some former college players that give an our perspective on todays sports world. In January 2019, Optimize The Vizion was created to work with youth in the metro Atlanta area to expose them to different events and leaders around the city with the purpose of showing them all the possibilities and opportunities that are available to them that can help them create a wonderful future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t. For the sports show, we have had highs and lows, rejections and cancellations. For our nonprofit, we have faced funding and access issues that create missed opportunities for our organization.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the co-host of the Crush Sports Talk. I get the opportunity to talk and cover sports (which I love) to people all over the world. I am most proud that we are able to still be doing this after eight years and there is no end in sight.
I am also the Founder and CEO of Optimize The Vizion. We have been going for four years now. During our time we have created over 40+ events for our Vizionaries (students) and we are looking to hit 50 by the end of 2023.
What sets me apart from others is that these are my two passions and I do it because I love what I do.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
So many people deserve credit for what I do.
My wife and children. They have been beneficial in allowing me to focus on making these two passions successful and have been my biggest support system.
My co-host of the Crush Sports Talk, Maceo Heard Jr. We started this together in Nov 2014 and he has been there every step of the way.
I have another list of 10-15 people in my circle that are only a phone call or text away to mentor, strategize or consult with me in order to get my businesses in order.
