Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika Womack.
Hi Erika, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my photography business in 2011. I was interested in photography when I was younger but never thought of it as a career path. Fast forward to 2010 and my son was born premature, while he was in the NICU I fell in love with taking pictures of him and going home and looking at them until I was able to see him again. I became obsessed with learning all things photography. Over the years I have had a few newborn studios but currently, I am mobile! It is so much easier on parents for me to come to your home in those first few weeks that a baby is born. Having three boys of my own, I enjoy talking to parents in this stage of their life!
I love meeting at local parks for family & children sessions – chasing that sunset light is my favorite! I have been blessed to tell many of your stories from your wedding day until your children are born and beyond. It is truly a special relationship to be able to be a part of a families most important moments and I love that connection!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Learning new techniques, professional editing, marketing, social media, etc. all with the goal of exceeding industry standards has been challenging at times. I encourage everyone to take classes, workshops and network! I am an open book with anyone starting in this business and will glady help you in your journey! I have always had a lot of support from my family and friends.

I specialize in Wedding, Family and Newborn photography. I have photographed over 200 weddings in my career and hundreds of families and babies! I am most proud of building a career that lets me network with other families in our community.
Any big plans?
I am always searching for new locations to photograph and I look forward to meeting new people and of course seeing past clients.
