Today we’d like to introduce you to Eterria Bowles.
Hi Eterria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My business was brought back to me full circle. As a child I enjoyed creating and performing. I remember submitting my college applications and holding on to the one I desired the most but never mailed. Though my parents always encouraged me to do what I loved. I held on to my deepest passions and relied on the one the world told me was most valuable. That helping people heal whatever was hurting was only associated with being a medical doctor. I now know that I was called to heal in another way. Through art, whether it be the books, movies, or plays I write and develop that therapy heals as well. Allowing people to identify trauma in a visual or written form they may not have otherwise thought of. At Terri Shawn Productions, we are still very much a baby with only five years under our belt. But the world has yet to see what we are actually capable of. That’s our focus over the next five years breaking the ground on our ability.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Whew, I started this company while working full-time in retail. Which meant there was never enough time, I had become fatigued with my day-to-day. I am a Christian so everything I do and believe stems from this. So I prayed and worked and continued to work and prayed. I acknowledge the testing of that season. That God wanted to know if I was willing to do what it took to receive what I prayed for. I quickly learned I knew if I never managed my time before becoming a full-time entrepreneur. I couldn’t be trusted with all my time as an entrepreneur. Thankfully I showed I could be trusted with his plan for my life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creative engineer, I’m not just a professional photographer. I help build brands and birth plans. I connect ideas with content and prepare other entrepreneurs with the needs tools to market themselves and their products. That company says (productions) where are your ultimate market stop. Whether it’s from the conception of an idea to rebranding your company, we have what’s needed. I’m most proud of the tv series I’ve recently written, but more so the books I’ve just finished. We are launching our first book to publication very soon.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
That most of my companies delay has been due to my shyness. I prefer to be behind the scenes. The more and longer I’m in the business I realize that more of me is required.
