I am the visionaire and founder of Kellure Beaute, formerly known as BeVogue Cosmetics. Having made a plan to live out my dreams, I embarked on a remarkable journey to redefine beauty standards, one vegan lip product at a time.

It was on the memorable date of July 4th, 2017, that this budding entrepreneur took her first step into the realm of beauty. Armed with a vision to create lip products that were not only stunning but also environmentally conscious, I launched my company, BeVogue Cosmetics. With just 100 units of vegan lip gloss, I ventured into an industry dominated by giants.

However, the true hallmark of an entrepreneur lies in the ability to adapt and evolve. Recognizing the ever-changing desires of my audience, I made a pivotal decision. I transformed BeVogue Cosmetics into Kellure Beaute, a brand that expanded its horizon to include a range of stunning matte lipsticks.

The decision to pivot was not taken lightly; it was an inspired move that paid dividends. The matte lipsticks, with their velvety finish and long-lasting color, became an instant hit. They embodied the brand’s philosophy of not just following trends but setting them.

Kellure Beaute’s most recent and significant accomplishment has been the successful expansion of its matte lipstick line into 13 prestigious beauty stores across the Bahamas. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the brand.

Among the esteemed beauty stores that now proudly carry Kellure Beaute’s matte lipsticks are Ageless Beauty Supply, Bahama Dimes, Beauty Culture, Carmens Beauty Supply, Hair4U Bahamas, Hair and Beauty Haven #2, Transforming Divas Beauty Supply, Royanna’s Beauty, Kera’s Hair Care, Prestige Transformation, and In The Trend Beauty Studio. Each of these partnerships speaks volumes about the brand’s reputation for quality and style.

Moreover, a remarkable achievement for Kellure Beaute has been its collaboration with the largest black-owned beauty supply store in Canada, “Hair Granted Beauty Supply.” This international partnership not only expands the brand’s reach but also aligns with its values of inclusivity and empowerment. It serves as a testament to the brand’s commitment to celebrating diversity and reaching a global audience.

Kellure Beaute’s ambition knows no bounds. Building on its recent successes, the brand is now setting its sights on expanding into the thriving beauty supply market in Atlanta. With its commitment to quality, sustainability, and inclusivity, Kellure Beaute aims to make its mark in this dynamic beauty hub, introducing its products to a whole new audience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The entrepreneurial journey is often a rollercoaster ride, filled with highs and lows that test the resilience and determination of founders. For the visionary behind BeVogue Cosmetics, now known as Kellure Beaute, the path to success was not without its formidable challenges.

One of the initial hurdles I faced was securing adequate funding to kickstart the cosmetics venture. Starting a cosmetics business demands capital for product development, marketing, and operational costs. Early on, I had to navigate the labyrinth of funding options, from personal savings to angel investors and venture capital. The struggle to secure financial backing was real, but it only fueled my determination to see my vision through.

Just when it seemed that the worst was behind, a devastating blow struck. BeVogue Cosmetics found itself entangled in a million-dollar lawsuit for alleged copyright infringement. This legal battle, which threatened to tarnish the brand’s reputation and drain its resources, was a formidable challenge. It demanded not only financial resources but also emotional resilience. I faced sleepless nights and endless legal consultations but remained resolute to defend the integrity of her brand.

In the face of adversity, true entrepreneurs rise to the occasion. As the visionary founder, I refused to be defeated. Instead of succumbing to the legal quagmire, I chose to reinvent and rebuild her brand. This pivotal moment led to the transformation from BeVogue Cosmetics to Kellure Beaute.

It meant reimagining the brand’s identity, revisiting its values, and creating a compelling narrative that resonated with a loyal customer base.
