E.M.A.G. (Entrepreneurial Men Achieving Greatness). E.M.A.G. Records was founded in 2002. The record company originated in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The group ParaFaNailia is also from Fort Wayne. ParaFaNailia consists of two artists Tyran “Sk ” Griggs and Lee “Good” Griggs. Good also has been doing music since he was 11 years old, while Sk has been producing music since he was 14 years old. Growing up in the hood of Fort Wayne the Griggs boys were no stranger to street life. However, they chose to make a better way by moving themselves and their family from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Atlanta, Georgia to follow their dreams of doing music professionally and getting their gifted sounds out to the world. SK has won the Southside showdown in Fort Wayne, and the group has opened up shows for Scarface, 12 gauge, Dem Franchise Boys, Ice-T, and Bun B.
ParaFaNailias’ goal is to provide better opportunities for their families and the world by spreading fact and realism in their music like no current artist out now. Some of ParaFaNailias’ influences are the late Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, Rakim, Public Enemy, Scarface, OutKast, Jay-Z, Run DMC, Ice Cube, T.I., Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, J-Cole, Meek Mills, and various other independent artists. One of ParaFaNailia’s goals is to bring Hip-Hop back to the music industry. The Group feels like the Hip-Hop side of the Music industry has tried so hard to go commercial and cross over that it has left a major void in the Hip-Hop culture. Hip-Hop is dying and Rap is taking over. The group’s definition of Rap–just rhymes to a musical beat, and Hip-Hop is a culture/reality not just a music form and this group intends on bringing Hip-Hop back. Independently this group has sold about 7,500 copies out of the trunk of their car, on every coast of the continent. We are currently getting 13,000 Monthly listeners on Spotify as of today and well over 150K in streams on Spotify platform alone.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
1st struggle was moving away from where we are from to really continue our pursuit of doing music coming to ATL and trying to build a network. Another struggle we had to deal with is my Business Partners leaving. He dedicated his life to the Christ and left the company to follow his calling. Then the music industry going Digital is another hurdle we have to overcome. From selling physical CDs and merch out the trunk to now trying to garner attention to get streams and navigating social media. Hard Drives failed on us and we lost years if not all of our Music at least 2x. Trying to build a business and still working full-time jobs, while being great fathers and husbands. The content of our music is not your typical Rap content (we don’t talk about killing or selling drugs) we really try to educate or share a story to help someone grow. I would like to say our form of Hip-Hop is Positive rather than the negativity we hear every day on the Radio.

We are a Hip-Hop group. We are creators, we producers, writers and composers. We record, mix and master music.
We specialize in reality rap.
We are known for our Positive Vibe!
We are most proud of the fact that we didn’t quit. We have kept true to ourself and we have started to carve out a lane for us.
What sets us apart? Our Authenticity! We are unapologetically Us! We are who we are, we are not trying to be anyone else.
What matters most to you?
We want to be pillars for our tribe. To make our families future more blessed than ours. We want to be a blessing to the world by trying to teach/motivate others through our music.
