Conversations with Hannah Crockett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Crockett.

Hi Hannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be a writer.

I wrote a play for my camp’s year-end program, and I won 3rd place in a writing competition. I achieved these milestones before I was a teen. Over the years, I perfected my craft through blogging, Hip Hop Journalism, and a passion for Marketing.

I enjoy executing my vision with on-set curation, news articles, podcasting, and product placement. I understand that the world operates through information and strategic idealism. Therefore, I feel that my calling is to produce information for progressive conversation and thought. My goal is to own a Marketing & Media Agency that will help build effective platforms and programs.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When following your dreams, the path won’t be easy. As a Mother, I have to choose the best option. Although my passion would lead me to a certain event and or assignment, if it is conflicting with my child’s schedule, I have to reconsider. Also, being a woman, I have to think of my safety when traveling alone. If I’m on a solo assignment, I will not post about it until I’m safe at home. These are challenges because in a perfect world, we would love to solely focus on our heart’s desire, but a proactive mindset is our ultimate protection.

Also, when building our dreams, we have to remember that it is a spiritual practice. When your heart, mind, and body are on one accord, you’re prepared for the assignment. Even with knowing this, I have to give myself grace for the days that I’m overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. Being a Leader is a heavy job to fulfill because of internal battles and environmental circumstances. I realized this as a fight that is not meant for me alone, so I started therapy. I believe the biggest obstacle is, knowing who you are but not being able to fulfill your purpose. Therapy is cool, and I recommend it for everyone.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Lifestyle Blogger, Music Enthusiast, and Marketing Fanatic.

I curate experiences by finding unique subjects to market. I enjoy utilizing my platform to enlighten an audience on how to embrace life. I write articles about current events, I discover music to share, and I offer ideas for execution. I’ve had a few highlights in my career, such as my article being recognized by 2Chainz.

The biggest highlight is the opportunity I received to curate a live set for a visual, “Tennis Racks,” by Cassie Chantel. I commissioned eight black-owned businesses to complete a brunch set, including Chef Soublet, Aden’s Royal Lemonade & Cookies, and Full Bloom By Lauren. As I continue to grow, I look forward to my portfolio’s expansion. I believe I am unique because of my passion. I can write articles to paint a picture that is sometimes more clear than a visual. I bring value to any room, deal, and partnership because of my proactive mindset.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have a village. My parents are very supportive of my dreams and they are extremely important to my son. I have a small circle of friends that I’m close to, I tell them my thoughts, and they reciprocate with transparency. Overall, God deserves all of the credit for instilling a vision within me and providing the tools I need to succeed. Also, I am forever grateful for my son for choosing me to be his Mother.
