Hi India, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
How I started my own makeup line & doing makeup, well in 2010-2012 I started being in a lot of fashion shows to where I had to get my makeup done and I was like okay I am loving how this enhances my natural beauty. So I started going to the Bronner Brothers show in Atlanta, Georgia to take makeup classes and I started assisting a great female friend of mine who was a celebrity makeup artist, she would walk me through on what to do and how to apply makeup. During that time, I met a makeup chemist who was from New York and we set up a meeting and she walked me through the ends and outs and what to expect, what I loved about her is she allowed me to bring my ideas to the table. I prayed on it and God gave me the ok of being who he called me to be at that is CEO/founder of face by MBI.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road, the struggles that came along the way were pricing and when I say pricing, it was knowing my worth in who I was meaning charging what I knew my products were worth and as a makeup artist charging what I knew my worth was. That was the biggest struggle at that time, you see, I stated at that time. At times we as entrepreneurs try to charge what others can afford and downing our worth, but we have to realize we put in hard work to get to where we are and it’s not an easy process however with the help of God, we keep pushing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a professional makeup artist who owns her own makeup cosmetic line. I specialize in enhancing natural beauty and making a woman that feels like she is not beautiful come out of her shell and feel like she can conquer the world.
I am known for my lippies (lipstick/ lipgloss/glitter lips); they call me the “lippie queen” it’s something about a woman that has on a bold lippie… Her lips can set the atmosphere for the day, lol.
I am proud of my growth. I was not always bold as I am today with my business and that came from the push of God, my children, my parents, my brothers, my apostle, and others that genuinely believed in me.
What sets me apart is I have a passion for what I do. I care about my clients every time they buy a makeup product or if they are getting makeup service, I want them to leave knowing that I care. I encourage my clients I speak greatness over their life. I pray with them, even when I am applying makeup, they are in a peaceful place with me. I listen to what they expect of me as an artist and also their makeup product specialist, my makeup products are organic let me say it louder my makeup products are organic, and organic is what is best.

I am a traveling makeup artist. I have done makeup for the TLC show, four weddings a couple of movies in Columbus, Georgia where I received an IMDb for.
