Conversations with Jaime Patton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Patton

Hi Jaime, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Jaime Patton, Inc. was founded out of a deep passion for advocacy and a commitment to ensuring that special education students and their families receive the support they deserve. With years of experience in education, administration, and financial consulting, Jaime Patton recognized the challenges that parents face in navigating the complexities of special education services. Determined to bridge the gap between families and the resources available to them, she established the firm to provide expert guidance in financial and tax planning, administrative processes (including notary public), and educational advocacy and professional development.

As part of this mission, Jaime Patton, Inc. published a comprehensive journal designed to empower parents with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively advocate for their children, called “Parent Rights for Special Education: A Guided Journal Made Easy.” This resource serves as a guide to understanding special education laws, securing necessary services, and building strong partnerships with schools.

Through personalized consulting and advocacy efforts, Jaime Patton, Inc. continues to be a trusted ally for families, helping them navigate the educational system with confidence and ensuring that every child has access to the support they need to thrive. And being a resource hub and partnered with other wrap around services, Jaime Patton, Inc. has been able to make a meaningful impact in the community, allowing each family to receive tailored services for their individual needs to ensure safe and secure environmental growth, mental stability, and social emotional health.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
After years of working in education—supporting students academically, coaching athletes, and ensuring that every child had access to the resources they needed—I saw a critical gap. Many parents struggled to understand their rights, access services, and effectively advocate for their children in a system that often felt overwhelming.

The journey has not been without its struggles. Establishing credibility in a space where policies and procedures are complex and ever-changing required persistence. Many families who needed our services the most lacked the financial means to afford advocacy support, which led us to explore funding solutions and community partnerships. Additionally, balancing the roles of educator, consultant, and business owner presented its own set of challenges.

Despite the obstacles, the impact has been undeniable. From helping students receive the accommodations they need to empowering parents with confidence in IEP meetings, Jaime Patton, Inc. continues to grow as a trusted advocate for those who need it most. What started as a vision has now become a movement—one dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the education they deserve.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am currently working in the Dekalb County School District as a Special Education Academic Coach. I am a teacher who teaches other teachers how to implement strategies that allow for students with disabilities to learn more effectively and retain information, producing significant progress in academic success.

I am known for my abilities to work with all walks of life and how relatable I am to the students, as well as the adults.

I am most proud of my involvement in the school process, as I am Chair of the Principal Advisory Council, Co-sponsor of the DECA club (Distributive Education Clubs of America, which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe), Co-sponsor of the 4-H club, Member of the Digital Learning Team for technology, AI integration facilitator, after school tutor, and coordinator of the resource hub in our school.

What sets me apart from others is that I am the ONLY Special Education Academic Coach in my school district. My skill sets and responsibilities allow me to work differently to make an impact on the growth of students with disabilities…and my data speaks for itself.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I am launching a new patented mobile application called STP (Sex Trafficking Prevention), which is a comprehensive platform that uses AI grooming detection/patterning, geo-fencing alerts, prevention, safe space partners, education modules, and survivor resource hubs.
