Today we’d like to introduce you to Juliana Varela.
Hi Juliana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m the owner of J.Varela Boutique. I’ve had a strong urge to open my own business for many years but I’ve always battled with low self-esteem and anxiety. I never believed I was capable to open yet alone handle a business. I would always receive compliments on my wardrobe and the outfits that I would put together and it was in my heart to open a boutique and be able to inspire women around the world but something would always bring me down.
It wasn’t until I had baby number 4 that it hit me. Yes, that’s right, I thought “If I can create and raise four beautiful human beings, I can certainly create and build my own business”. So I did just that. I began my research and on May 2nd, 2021 I opened my business and never looked back.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When you have a business, you must know one thing and that is that there will be good times and sometimes there will be bad. I always try to stay positive no matter what and try to brainstorm and work through the bad moments.
Something that I’ve learned is that when you do what you love, it will never feel like work. It’s been nine months since we opened and the ride has been amazing. We’ve received many positive testimonials from different women who have shopped from J.Varela (especially at our pop-ups) expressing how happy they are with their items.
I thank God for the opportunity He has given me and for blessing not only me but those who buy from our boutique.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’re an online women’s boutique not only do we provide great quality clothes, we try to provide a wide range of sizes from XS to plus size at a comfortable price.
We do participate in Pop-Ups as much as we can so our customers can see and try on the items. It’s also very fun to meet our customers face to face. We’re also working and praying hard to open a store.
We are very proud of the outcome especially reading the positive feedback we receive from our customers. It motivates us to provide the best for our ladies so they can look and feel their very best!
