Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Stafford.
Hi Kelsey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was an athlete in college and I got very injured and had to retire playing sports. But I wanted to remain in the sports area that I played so I started creating highlight videos and graphics for athletes because I majored in communications and digital editing in college. And then, my husband and I started getting more serious about the business and we were approached by other companies who needed help with their recruiting and Highlight Video‘s so we became a LLC and have been growing ever cents.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Getting out of obscurity. No one knows you exist unless you make yourself known.
Growing from nothing is tough.
My husband and I also work full time in addition to the business so time management is a big key factor.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Our main service is we create recruiting highlight videos for athletes who are trying to go to the next level. We create videos for high school college and professional level athletes who are looking for professionalism. We are known for our quick turnaround time our low prices and our professional service. I am most proud of seeing the athletes I work with achieve their goals and making it to the level that they desire and beyond and playing a part in that brings great joy knowing that I was able to make a difference in their life. I would say what sets us apart from others is that my husband and I have been through the recruiting process and we know exactly what college coaches and professional coaches are looking for when they are trying to recruit a new athlete. My husband currently plays professional soccer so he has a huge connection to the coaches and the athletes that are looking to play at that level and he also works full-time as a college recruiter to place athletes in college so our involvement in the space is what sets us apart.
What makes you happy?
I would say being there for others and helping provide a service that wasn’t available when I was going through the process is something that makes me happy. When I did this back in 2015 companies like the one I have now or recruiting companies that do everything for you didn’t exist so we had to do everything ourselves without any information. Providing this level of knowledge and service to the community of athletes that really need it is fulfilling.
