Conversations with Kratika Jain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kratika Jain.

Hi Kratika, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It’s have been a long journey of multiple restarts. Specially when you are away from Home, it’s always a challenge. Proving your authenticity in your field is an everyday struggle nowadays. When I came to the USA I was clueless what will I do leaving my business my work behind the only thing I knew was I will definitely make something out of whatever I have learned n love all these years… And I can proudly say that I have and I will not have regrets of not pursuing what I love.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not really… The major setback was an uncertain timeline I have packed up 3 times completely to move back to my country not knowing now what. And every time I came back I’m back to square one. It’s funny, and sad but a little extra adventure. 😁😁😁

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a dance Choreographer and freelance makeup artist. Honestly, dance has been in my system since I can remember. I never had to force it on me. And I am proud that how I have grown in all these years. But what’s surprising is my makeup artistry coz the major recognition I got in Atlanta is because of makeup n hair artist. It just came out of nowhere from starting a small-scale YouTube channel to doing hair n makeup for celebrities shows and New York Fashion Week. I m so proud of and I know I have a long way to go but I am ready and up for it.

How do you think about happiness?
My work makes me super happy. As I think not everyone is as fortunate as I am to pursue my love and passion for my profession.
