Hi Kristy LaShawn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out as a young woman with big dreams and a passion for people, music, and purpose. My journey began with promoting entertainment events, which eventually led me to rapping and creating music of my own. That experience inspired me to launch So Bossy Ent, my own label and branding company, giving me a front-row seat to the business side of entertainment.
I later founded Kristy LaShawn Talent Management LLC, where I manage artists and build creative projects from the ground up, helping independent artists, entrepreneurs, and small business owners grow through creative services and digital marketing. I also created Worldwide Media Source Hip-Hop TV, a platform giving independent artists authentic exposure and a voice in the industry. I host concerts and events and am certified with Eventu, which allows me to professionally plan and execute memorable experiences.
I’m also preparing to launch a new faith-based initiative focused on community empowerment, healing, and personal growth. I balance being a mom, a grandma, a student in healthcare management, an entrepreneur, and working full-time as a plumbing dispatcher. Every step of my journey has been guided by faith, purpose, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people’s lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road? Not at all. There were times I faced self-doubt, limited resources, or opportunities that didn’t go as planned. But every obstacle taught me resilience and patience, and pushed me to stay true to my vision. Those struggles shaped me into someone who can navigate the business world while helping others rise along the way.

I help independent artists, entrepreneurs, and small business owners grow by managing talent, developing creative projects, and creating platforms for authentic exposure. I also host concerts and events and am certified with Eventu to ensure everything runs professionally. I specialize in talent management, branding, creative development, and event planning, helping people turn their vision into a reality.
I’m known for giving independent artists a real voice in the industry and helping them shine both on and off the stage. I’m most proud of balancing all of this while being a mom, a grandma, a student in healthcare management, and working full-time as a plumbing dispatcher. What sets me apart is my ability to combine creativity with strategy, guiding people to achieve their goals while staying true to their vision.

I use planner apps and calendars to keep my days organized and my goals on track. I also read books and blogs, and listen to podcasts about personal growth, business, and faith — they help me stay motivated, focused, and balanced in both work and life.
