Conversations with LaShae Wallace

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaShae Wallace.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born at Howard University in Washington D.C while my Dad was in Medical School and my Mom was working for the government in D.C as well. I grew up in a Christian household and Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” God created me and chose me for such a time as this. At the age of 21, my first book was published titled “Look at God” currently at age 30, I have four published books. I started writing and using my gift to encourage others at age 17. Since then, over 1,000 copies are all over the world to inspire, uplift, empower and share the Gospel to others. I earned my Master’s degree at South Carolina State University in Counselor Education and have been a Middle School Counselor the past four years. I love what I get to do. My motto has been “God used my tears to water my dreams” I tell my story for His Glory and to give others HOPE!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey hasn’t been the easiest. I’ve learned to trust the process along the way. God has a special way of preparing you for your destiny. I’ve battled with depression in 2010 after transitioning colleges, moving and heartbreaks. Recently Christmas 2021, my family and I suffered a tremendous loss. My baby brother Theron Wallace, 20, accidentally drowned and was missing for 11 days. Grief revealed gifts and God has given us supernatural strength and peace. My greatest misery has become my greatest ministry.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an author of four books titled “Look at God” , “Season of Purpose” , “It Started With a Promise” and “Worship in the Wilderness” I am also a middle School Counselor. I’ve been called to encourage and make a difference in the younger generation. I am most proud of my resiliency and refusing to give up. I truly believe someone is depending on you to do what God called you to do! I believe we were created on purpose, for a purpose. Your story/testimony is important. Your dreams count. Your voice matters. You were born to make an impact. I am an overcomer. My light sets me apart living in a dark world. I will always greet you with a smile and embrace you with a big hug. Words have the power of life and death so I choose to speak life! I will continue to “let my light shine before men that they may see my good works so I can glorify my Father in Heaven. ” -Matthew 5:16

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
While I was in college a lot of people looked down on me not only because I was young but because I would literally walk around campus with my manuscript in a 3-ring binder and tell people one day I will have a book published. My faith has always been my driving force to success. I didn’t mind looking crazy for Jesus! He has always been consistent, dependable and my EVERYTHING!
