Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizie Beaudry.
Hi Lizie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as a National Sales Manager for Logo Mats Inc after graduation from University of Georgia with a degree in Marketing. I traveled to 41 states in 2 years! The experience I gained from this role was something I would take with me for the next 15 years in my career! From there I joined Medquest Associates as a digital imaging representative. I supported the Johns Creek market by calling on physicians in the area to educate them about our freestanding MRI and CT centers. What was neat about this company is that hospital radiologists supported their imaging centers. Patients could experience top notch radiologist reads at a fraction of the cost to their insurance plans. I learned a lot about educating medical staff and physicians on our unique services. I then worked with a medical recruiter to find Ceva Animal Health. I didn’t know then the golden nugget of an industry I would enter! I worked with veterinarians in North Georgia to support their behavioral, dermatology, and preventative medicine needs. I fell in love with veterinarians during this role. They are the most selfless, loving, hardworking humans I’ve met thus far. You have to think, they are surgeons, internists, neurologists, dentists, GI doctors, and often therapists for their human patients too! A friend of mine who worked at Ceva pulled me over to the Merck Animal Health team. I supported a smaller group of veterinary clinics with an awesome line of vaccines, antibiotics and preventative flea/tick and heartworm medications for dogs and cats. I’ve been at Merck off and on for the past 11 years. I took some time off and supported a distributor in the animal health market part time for 5 years while I was pregnant with my 3rd child. In October 2024, I joined Merck again full time and have been blessed to help launch a blockbuster flea and tick medication preventive as well as a one and done treatment for ear infections in dogs! Most of my veterinary customers at this point are friends and I truly feel blessed that each and every one of them welcome me into their clinics each day. I love supporting their businesses and seeing their dreams come to light!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not for one minute! You have good quarters and bad quarters and different challenges come with each one. However, perservence is a word in my household that we live by. My 3 children know this word and the 5 of us live by it each and every day!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I support 64 animal hospitals in the North Georgia market with Merck Animal Health products. I help them by educating the veterinarians and the support staff on the science behind these products and teach them how they will be beneficial to their patients. I am most proud of myself for giving Merck another try. I had to step back from my Merck role after giving birth to our third child. I didn’t see how I could give 100 percent of my time to both my kids and my role at Merck. After taking some time off and dedicating 5 years to my children and my part time work in this market, I decided to give my full time role another go. I am so grateful that Merck accepted me back and so did the customers, with open arms!
What sets me apart from others is I feel I am genuine. I believe genuinely in the products that I help represent. I use them on my own dogs and cats and have seen them work under my own roof!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta. I have traveled many places but always felt so grateful when my airplane landed on Georgia soil! I love that we have so many opportunities to take our family to many different events in Atlanta. I grew up going to the CNN center in Atlanta for Disney on Ice, I was here in 1996 for the Atlanta Olympics! My children have frequented the Zoo, the Coca Cola Museum, many events at the State Farm arena, The Sugar Factory for birthdays, and of course the Georgia Aquarium! I wish Atlanta got more snow, that’s the only thing I feel like our city is missing!
