Conversations with Luke Morgan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Morgan.

Hi Luke, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Luke Morgan is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge from the USMC, Luke began his country music career in Bakersfield, California in 2019 and soon became a rising star. In 2020 when the pandemic hit he was forced to relocate to Atlanta, GA. Luke began splitting time between Atlanta, Ga and Nashville, Tn where he gained notoriety as an up and coming talented singer/songwriter and by 2024 had played the legendary Whiskey Jam stage twice and released a single “Shotgun” that has been featured on multiple iHeart radio and internet radio stations. Luke and his band, The Redliners have rocked stages all over the southeast with notable appearances as headliners of the Atlanta Air Show, and the Senoia Car Show in 2025. In 2026 Luke’s singles “Shotgun” & “Man I Used To Be” were added to 101.5 New Country, the largest country radio station in Georgia and featured on the Operation Encore syndicated radio show on 94.1 “The Duke” Radio. Luke & The Redliners country music blends the heavy edge elements of his rock background with the country roots of his upbringing in Alabama and are bringing high energy exciting shows to stages throughout the US.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would not quite describe it as a smooth road. We started in Bakersfield in 2019, playing small pubs and by the end of 2019 were in negotiations to open for a couple of national acts coming to Bakersfield and playing standing room only shows. All of that changed with the pandemic. We basically lost everything in 2020. My grandfather died in Alabama in early March, I got laid off in April, and we did not know what we going to do. We were about to lose our home and then God provided us a great opportunity in Atlanta and we packed up our family and moved across the country right as the pandemic hit full stride in the US. My youngest child has congenital heart disease and we did not know how Covid would affect him so I decided to put music on hold. I did not start playing again until 2022, and it was like starting all over again. New Town, New clubs, nobody knew who I was, and fortunately we have been able to grow this and God has provided great opportunities for us to grow in the South!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a singer songwriter. I think that I am known to be a Veteran that loves his country, loves his family, stands on faith, and puts all of that into my art. I write about what I live, I write about what I see. What I am most proud of is that I served my country, and I continue to serve Veterans here in the Atlanta area, and I am just getting started as I plan to start a non-profit organization over the next 12-18 months that will serve the community in a much larger capacity. I believe that God gives you a gift, but he lets you choose how you are going to use it. What are you going to do with your gift? I think what sets me apart from others in my industry is that I am combining a lot of different genres of music in the ‘country’ genre along with my faith and love of the United States of America.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I walk on faith. If you read the bible it is full of risk takers. Moses, Paul, and most of all Jesus. They all were risk takers if you look at it from the outside. The common theme is that they all walked on their faith and others saw it as risk. So to answer the question, Ya, I am a risk taker. In 2024 I left my day job and bought a small business with my wife who is my partner. This was a major risk for us, but we were lead to do this by God and I am here to tell you that it has become such a blessing. We get to work with so many amazing customers, from non-profits that support Vets to Churches spreading the word of God, to musicians trying to get their branding and sound out there to the masses. I had no idea when I took this on that we would be where we are today. The best part is that this move has enabled me to have the opportunity to focus on my music and travel for it when I need to without losing my job. I think that most decisions in life carry a pretty large deal of risk, like buying a house, or moving across country, putting your heart and soul into a song and releasing it for the world to hear and judge. I embrace risk. I have always thought that if you won’t take a risk, you don’t really want it. I want it.
