Conversations with Madison Grant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Grant.

Hi Madison, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a young girl, I always became intrigued with anything involving creativity. I loved art and drawing. In 2019, I discovered the skill of graphic design and instantly fell in love with the craft. So I traded my pencil and paper drawings in for a computer and a mouse. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with over 40 brands through my freelance business, Madison Grant Designs. Graphic Designing has become a passion and an except for me. Helping business owners bring their brands to life in a digital way is so rewarding.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any entrepreneur, I have had some bumps in the road along the way. Specifically with figuring out where I fit in my market and how to ensure others perceive my services as valuable as I do. However, I will say learning and allowing myself to soak in trials and error has been the best method to overcome the challenges in my industry. I have found that I can’t get better if I am not willing to take risks, put myself out there as a designer, and sometimes make mistakes. My mistakes have taught me a lot and brought me far.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a freelance graphic designer. I specialize in logos and social media content creation. I am known for my ability to develop and strategize brands from concept to completion. I am most proud of having the opportunity to present my work to notable organizations like Netflix tv shows, grammy award winners, and famous restaurants.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is understanding the lesson and value in every experience you have in life. I don’t measure success by numbers, rather by my self-growth with what’s happening around me and within me. Setbacks are still a form of success, just like progress. As long as you’re learning something from whatever situation you find yourself in and are able to identify the bigger picture, you are achieving success.
