Today we’d like to introduce you to Marc Logan.
Hi Marc, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always loved music for as long as I can remember. My mother got my sister and I into piano lessons when I was around five. I took about nine years off and picked the instrument back up at 19 years old. The day after I turned 20, I got my first guitar and about a month later, I got my first drum kit. Last summer, I got my first bass. This summer (July 22nd), I released my first album “idk”, where I wrote, recorded, produced, arranged, and mixed every song on my phone.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, things have been pretty smooth. The only real challenge I can point to is not having a laptop, microphones, and cameras to record my music and music videos. However, I learned to find joy in taking advantage of everything I have instead of waiting around for conditions to be “perfect”.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the musical artist Cosomic Hippie. I’m a multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, director, and video producer. I’m most proud of my ability to have a vision and execute it until my dreams become a reality. I feel that me checking off all of those boxes sets me apart from others. I respect and admire all creatives. However, I feel that there aren’t many that can craft an album and multiple music videos on their own, outside of someone holding the camera of course.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mother has always supported my dreams and has been by my side regardless of what endeavors I find myself in. She is also my prime example of seeing someone being passionate about their craft and following their dreams. My father has also been there for support and showing me the drive it takes to get to where you want to be in life. My former piano teacher, Mrs. Susan Fussel, taught me everything I know about the instrument and gave me the foundation I still stand on today. I’d like to thank my grandmother for always supporting me and making sure I practiced piano at a young age. Lastly, I’d like to thank my guitar teacher Chris for being a huge help in my musical journey for the last couple of years.
