Today we’d like to introduce you to Menen Nehneh
Hi Menen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My creative journey began with music. I have always had a passion for music however I was always very shy when it came to sharing my musical art, so I decided to pick up modeling. I would model for friends and their brands, and started to gain attention in the creative community. As that sparked I allowed myself to embrace my creativity by content creation, freelance and editorial modeling. This created a snowball affect that led me to becoming a full time model/muse, content creator, and agency director. I worked with my talents, and allowed myself to be the brand. I was adamant on not assigning myself to a box, and though it does require work, I love it. I am adding titles such as business owner, podcast host, author, and musician to my collection this year.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been smooth, however I am grateful for the cards I was dealt. Within the industry there are a plethora of companies, owners, and individuals that won’t treat you with the level of respect deserved. When I started charging for my services I realized how many people only support you if you allow them to take advantage of you. Paired with introspective periods of realizing your growth, understanding your worth even in slow months, remembering that your creativity’s value isn’t determined upon likes, and understanding that things and people will change as you embrace yourself authentically. These experiences have only helped me grow, and allowed me to get to the place I am in today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a creative who specializes in endlessly creating. I am a jack of all trades; I am a model, content creator, modeling and management agency director, musician, podcast host, and author. I am most known for my modeling and content career, and I look forward to the day everyone can view my catalog in its entirety. I am most proud of the ability to influence others to be their best selves. Many creatives who content create influence their community to be a specific thing, and I allow my community to be themselves. I want people to fully embrace their confidence, authenticity, passion, and exuberance. I don’t affirm people to be like me, I affirm them to be their highest self.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as reaching what ultimate stability looks like to you. For me success looks like fully taking care of my mother the way she did me, building on assets, creating opportunities for loved ones, and people, being a sacred space for myself and those who experience me, fulfilling the purpose Yahweh has for me, and passing on knowledge and stability to future generations.
